D’Angelo’s acceptance of the depiction of the 1% as somehow realistic shows he knows as much about them as he claims Ashby knows about the rest of us.

Soul Jazz records has a great compilation called "Studio One Roots"
and also theres "Trojan Presents: Roots"
Shouldn't we be happy there aren't more comedic sequals?
Lea Thompson’s put-on French accent in The Beverly Hillbillies was painful to my ears.
I’m not sure why Spotify is a part of the conversation over how to get musicians fairly compensated. If it only costs $10 a month and you listen to it 2 hours a day then Spotify is charging you less than $0.003 a minute. No musician could possibly get decent compensation under those circumstances unless people are…
At first I thought you were talking about Joey Ramone's version.
How is it that Dowd even gave this a “C”? There isn’t one thing in the review that is an outright complement to the movie. Saying Vaughn isn’t as big a creep as usual isn’t much of an endorsement.
I like this show but it uses its fair share of TV tropes pretty consistently. I mean they actually used an “open mic” night in this episode.
Caption for article pic: “No jerk, you sit on the floor. If it wasn’t for your super-sperm we wouldn’t be in this mess!”
Jeeeez Carrie Fisher looks young in that picture. Was she like 12 when they made Star Wars?

Destiny has cheated me / by forcing me to decide upon / the Woman that I idolize / and the hands of an automaton
I consider this to be the best ongoing feature in the Music section. Killing this is ridiculous.
long live Marisol
To me this is always a dialogue. One person asks a question and another answers it. Fagen is just singing both parts.
They may have indulged in gaming tropes but the point of the episode was to reassure FP that she was not evil. The dungeon adventure showed that she may lose control at times but in the end she is capable of controlling herself and acting in a way that is good. I believe that is why they both considered the escapade…
For some reason as soon as the writer starts inserting themselves into the piece (I was actually on the show in 1995…..) I zoom right past it.
I thought the part about him making up the knee injury was a great "comic book origin" touch. It shielded everyone (even himself) from his true identity without that being it's intended purpose.
“a powerful drug called “soy sauce,” and the extra-dimensional visitors who are using it to infiltrate this plane of existence”…
Does this sound like The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch to anyone?
