How is it that Dowd even gave this a “C”?  There isn’t one thing in the review that is an outright complement to the movie.  Saying Vaughn isn’t as big a creep as usual isn’t much of an endorsement.

To me this is always a dialogue.  One person asks a question and another answers it.  Fagen is just singing both parts.

They may have indulged in gaming tropes but the point of the episode was to reassure FP that she was not evil.  The dungeon adventure showed that she may lose control at times but in the end she is capable of controlling herself and acting in a way that is good.  I believe that is why they both considered the escapade…

For some reason as soon as the writer starts inserting themselves into the piece (I was actually on the show in 1995…..) I zoom right past it.

I thought the part about him making up the knee injury was a great "comic book origin" touch.  It shielded everyone (even himself) from his true identity without that being it's intended purpose.
