I’ve always pictured Romero trying to determine exactly how the picture should end and deciding to talk to a friend about it.
R: I’m almost at the end and Ben is the only one left alive.
F: Do you want him to live?
R: No, I think all of them should be dead at the end.
F: Then have the zombies eat him.
R: No, that wouldn’t

Not a bad idea.  It's probably better than anything in this movie.

Thanks for mentioning the “bereavement subtext”.  It is a tired cliché of kid fodder to utilize the death of a family member as background or plot setup.  What’s worse is that it doesn’t even seem essential to the plot here.  Like it got thrown in out of laziness in the initial draft of the screenplay, then later

The Equals version of Police On My Back is just not as good as The Clash's.

Every year multiple pictures are released that do one or both of the following: 1) Offer a general critique of capitalism at the moment. 2) Capitalize on the star power of its lead.
This movie supposedly does both.  Is that the only point this article is making?

I liked the spat between Jake and Finn at the beginning of the episode; revealing they have roommate style arguments just like everyone else.

I’ve read a fair amount of snark and hate coming from the staff on this site.  They set the tone for the site and have to take a little responsibility for how the conversation flows here.  If they tone it down then possibly the commenters will too.  If they aren’t interested in doing that then why would anyone else be?

Would like to have seen Jailhouse Rock here.  The song was there at the start of it all and the two simple beats at the beginning are awesome.

The AVClub should do a bit where someone from the comments “community”
writes a piece and the AVClub writers post the comments.

The writing on AVClub resembles the comments section more and more each day.
K-Fed = “the worst human being in the history of the world”
That’s the kind of nonsense I’d expect from someone like me, not the great Nathan Rabin.

Thank you Henry for showing us the way out of this maze.
We had almost become too preoccupied with how we appear to a community of strangers that we ourselves hide our own identity from.

It's funny but this website represents, to varying degrees, the things Marah Eakin seems to dislike in her wish.  She may not specifically mention the "comment" community but the things she references sound so much like some of what I've read here it can't be an accident.  Plus, some of the articles are written with
