I've been doing it wrong!

One of those seven screens showing Fruitvale Station was one block from my home, and about a gazillion people turned up to see it on opening night. Lines all up the block.

So what I'm hearing you say is, "It's simples. Musicians no get paid."

It's true. I'm stuffing my face with pastries right now.

Would you ask Tom Petty that?

False Priest is pretty darn good. Lots of good jams on there. I found all those nutty, messy, experimental arrangements and song structures on Skeletal Lamping and Paralytic Stalks kind of fascinating on first listen, but they're kind of a chore to listen to. I think Barnes is at his best when he kicks out something

If by "whimsy" you mean "existential, psycho-sexual self-loathing," then probably a fair amount.

Ride cymbal? I'd hit it.

Yeah, I think the hate on display has more to do with how overplayed it was and continues to pop up on radio than the content of the song itself…which, to be fair, is probably a greater factor in the songs I hate most.

Nice Ding Dong! I mean Whoppers! I mean penis. You have a nice penis. What? No, I wasn't thinking about chocolate. Nope.

Slow down. Chew your food.

Hold up a sec. Melissa McCarthy is in this thing??????!??

How about that Tatertot fellow that's in all those blockbusters?

@Richard3 U serious bro? Cuz I got a horse. #newkingintown

You should have told her about the ghost you met—the Holy Ghost—and offered to introduce her.

If the main criticism is, "It's eclectic and isn't geared toward immediate gratification," I think I can deal.

"I just pinked myself."

P.S. You'll shoot your eye out.

@avclub-f8f8c273f326be25421cc62737d24a9e:disqus …and the part where that young girl's face just wipes off with the mud.

…and "In the Loop" … and "The Man Who Wasn't There" …
