Black Christian Siriano
Am I the only one who thought that Rafael looked like a black Christian Siriano? Beyond the hair and the twinky vibe, their faces are eerily similar.

the past seasons of PR Australia have been great, but this season is filled with a bunch of flighty twats. There are still a couple of them that I can route for, but I've lost most of my interest.

You and I
"The only amusing part to me was when she exhorted the SYTYCD studio audience to sing along with a new single to which nobody knows the words yet."

Oh, Mandy,
You choreographed me a turkey
To some 80's cliche.
Oh, Mandy.

I dunno. I think Silas is much more reliable than Shane and that's why she picked him. Shane would do anything to help Nancy, but that's not always a good thing (e.g. killing Pilar).

American Smarties or British Smarties?

@Michaela: yeah, the SYTYCD Canada host is horrible. anyone who has ever complained about Cat Deeley needs to try to sit through an hour of TV with this abrasive woman as host.

SYTYCD Canada
Someone mentioned SYTYCD Canada Season 4 the other day (which is happening concurrently with this season of the American version and has both Mary Murphy and Jean-Marc Genereux on the panel), and I decided to see what our neighbors to the north were up to.

Mia's "Addiction" number for Kayla and Kupono (to Sara Bareilles' "Gravity") is one of the numbers that I show to friends who don't watch the show in order to point out how good it can be when things aren't phoned in.

@DB:

And he can't even be man enough to show up in the thread and accept his award.

I also love Clamps, and I especially loved how they just kept at that one-jokeness of it all. He never softened, never changed, just kept on being Clamps.

As much as I love Cat during the live shows (and she has covered incredibly this season, what with the non-elimination of the first results show), she shines especially during the auditions. She seems utterly genuine with even the batshit-craziest of people and appears to care for everyone no matter how horribly they

Exactly! For me, that's why the "moth dance" worked so well. It had a prop that drove a good portion of the movement but that didn't distract from anything the dancers ever did. AND it never needed to have a moment for itself the way the big watercolor painting of Clarice did.

if you're going to mention Desmond Richardson routines, the one that always stands out in my mind was the one he did for Katee and Will to "Imagine."

Scrodinger's Cat
Am I the only one who loved the appearance of a literal Schrodinger's cat?

Here's what it should have looked like:

Sasha & Alexander
Having rewatched it a couple of times, I actually really liked Sasha and Alexander's hip-hop. Travis's critique about their need for shading and emphasis was spot on, but it was far from "hip-hop for dummies" as Nigel put it. This hip-hop was pretty representative of a lot of stuff I see on Youtube

Deja vu all over again
Did it piss no one else off that everyone (except for Chris and Ashley) got dance styles they danced in the second Top 20 night?

Queer Guys Talkin' 'Bout 'Weeds'
In honor of Neptuny, I would like to say how welcome Pablo Schreiber is to the show.
