For anyone who didn't feel like buying the album from Target, do yourself a favor and go check out those Target-exclusive tracks on the interwebz. The "Q.U.E.E.N." remix doesn't do much for me, but the "Electric Lady" remix (with spoken word/rap verses by Cee-Lo and Big Boi) has somehow surpassed the version from the

I seem to be in the minority here. While I very much enjoy John Oliver, I much preferred Jon Stewart in as host. Maybe it's just because I'm used to Stewart, but Oliver was just far too yelly, too punchy.

I totally agree with you on The Sting.

I have no idea why this song is being played so upbeat. I would've loved to hear Mavis Staples sing it closer to Bill Withers' original version: http://www.youtube.com/watc…

Meh on the puppet episode.

An article entitled "How music continues to draw inspiration from science fiction" with no mention of Janelle Monáe? That girl is the embodiment of Afro-futurism in the 21st (31st?) century.

I don't think that's entirely fair to Jasmine. Her audition to that Destiny's Child version of "Amazing Grace" was beautiful and raw. I'd love to see another solo out of her.

@eric827:disqus , how I wish I could forget Carmen Carrera as easily as you.

Seriously. I mean, I love April Ludgate (Dwyer? Ludgate-Dwyer?), but how does she get two spots on the list while Anastasia Beaverhausen is omitted?

Maybe they were being dicks because these people are supposed to be professional chefs yet some of them can't seem to cook fried chicken well. And maybe you were too busy getting caught up in your own cloud of righteous indignation to notice, but they also generously praised the good dishes. They looked like a bunch

Yeah, at the end of the day, Stefan owns up to his bullshit, which I respect. Look at how well he ended up getting along with Carla when some of the eliminated chefs had to assist them.

That BBC recording of "New York" was unlistenable due to the censoring. I thought you were better than that, Britain.

@avclub-c51f9e0913ad03d359dd2d313d6ea82d:disqus , the big problem now is that if he wants to continue the "herb/spice that starts with 's'" theme he has going, he's pretty much left with just Star Anise.

It's actually pretty nice. Laid back yet uptempo R&B. Kind of like Jessie Ware meets Beyonce ("4" Beyonce, not "Sasha Fierce" or "B-Day" Beyonce).

I'd agree with you, except Kima Greggs is killing it. That makes all the difference for me.
