Lone - a few points:
"Blu-Ray is the first home media to accurately present films as they were made to be presented. "
Blu-ray is not comparable to the resolutions any modern film has been captured in, it's not even close.

Did they think that was a joke or something?

The platform for a few of these games is shown as PC, where it should state Windows. Please correct this.

This has been a great thread, please continue Mr Former AD.

I thought Nathan Barley was OK, but I can see why it got such middling critical/public praise. Hipsters are unknown to the majority of the population, and the people who do know them, know that it is a cultural group that basically mocks itself anyway.

Another tip: google the model name of your DVD player with "region free" and you should find a way to unlock it. It usually just means pressing a few buttons.

Just seems like a small display of ignorance on part of the interviewer, given that Morris' newscaster is clearly based on Jeremy Paxman.

It certainly isn't half as "insane" as the review makes out, but I did laugh a lot while watching. It's clearly supposed to be a lighthearted film so maybe try not to get too mad about it.

I thought the Dethklok songs were great when watching the show, but the albums seem a little dull to me. The songs all have big hooks and impressive musicianship which makes them stand out in 20 second bursts, but over an album they don't have the extra creativity to invite repeated listening.

I think they got the mix perfect this season, with the Tribunal only showing up a few times at which point they would actually say or do something interesting.
They should just copy the X-Files series model.

Some nice talking points there lexicon, since the AV talk was mainly about sustainable business plans and the audience-critic-producer relationship.

Unlike a film, some guys hat does not require a ticket purchase and 90 minutes to experience. This is why people expect a point* in a movie, which seems far from retarded to me.

Stanhope comes across exactly the same way to me, except that he is even more aggressive than Hicks was. I think he relies too much on shock value, which is unimpressive in the long run.
I like what Stanhope does, but I can't imagine him actually subverting anyone or anything, he's just a drunken and cynical comedian.

You can get AV (thats audio visual) receivers nowadays with as many inputs as you like so there is no reason to have 2 separate systems.
Rule of thumb for decent audio setups: spend half your budget on speakers and the rest on receiver, cd player, cables etc.

It's not really a good indication of the rest of the film, most of what we see with Treadwell is him interacting with the bears and foxes. It's worth a watch just for the great animal footage.

I'd go for Sungod, but it only seems to be available on LP. I can't understand why a band would still do that in 2010. Will be listening to Eibon in the future though.

I'd go for Powertrip as an entry which is their best, but you could check out Dopes to Infinity or Spine of God, all classics but all different.

Stoner/Doom
Some good releases lately, here are some I have enjoying:
Sungrazer (s/t) - First release from this Dutch band and it is incredibly accomplished with above average song writing. Flashes of Kyuss, Colour Haze but mostly laid back like Brant Bjork's solo stuff, hooks aplenty.
