How about if somebody else made the movie and Adam Sandler only starred in it?

As much as I love the character drama on this show, I don't quite understand a few things about the main plot:

Oceans are full of drops.
Beaches are full of sand.
Shit is also not granular.

Ha. I was going to put in a vote for a Freebird cover too.

I do not know if anybody else has commented on these things, and I refuse to attempt to find out, because Disqus sucks balls. Get a new comment system AVclub plz.

Even if he had stopped (which was impossible to even tell with the angles and slowmo), he would at that point be a brick wall. Very easy to kill yourself slamming a bike into a brick wall at 80mph. Sure 80mph bike + 50mph truck speed might be even cooler… but unnecessary.

It was in slow motion, which is symbolic of things happening slowly.

I would be ok with an entire season of alternate endings where Jax dies a different horrible death in each one.

Re: nods to the Sopranos (again… SPOILER alert for that show)

"When something great happens to one person, everyone else's life gets a little worse. Look it up, it's called physics!"

Agreed mostly, but I'd swap Magnolia with TWBB, and also swap BN with PDL. And PDL and TWBB are pretty damn close in my book, hard to pit them against each other.

Thank you Mythagoras. The funny thing is the term lifehacking, stupid or not, is actually a more accurate use of "hack" in its original spirit (to do something clever or innovative with computer hardware or software), than the way most people use it today in the computer context (to "break into a computer system and

Gimme that Christian side hack

Seriously? It's provided to benefit the average citizen, not the government. And if a "record of everything" amounts to photos of streets, storefronts, trees, and cars, then I say let them have it. Google doing "footwork for the government" is about as far from the truth as it gets.

How do you know that he wasn't dealing with an imminent terrorist threat that required him to choose between watching the episode or letting one thousand innocent civilians die?

Yeah, that is just one of many giant problems. My favorite was when Kate pulled up outside of Margo's opera house, in an unmarked car, and immediately drew fire from half a dozen guards. I guess they just shot up every single car who drove near the opera house?

I am ok with this show being ridiculously cheesy. And I'm even ok if the overarching plot of the season doesn't add up 100%. But the fact that they don't even try to maintain plot/logical continuity for a 5 minute timespan is just fucking weak.
