That might be, but ridiculous and grotesque Ross (seasons 6 to 9) is my favourite Ross.

It was huge in France too, it seemed to be one of the shows everybody watched.

Once he'd hit three divorces, they gave up on all pretence to have Ross resemble anything like an actual human being; and he became my favourite character on the show in those seasons.

I might be misunderstanding the observation, but there is such a thing as 50 year-old scotch. The cheapest option would be a taster from Master of Malt (would copy the link but bloody mobile devices… it would set you back about USD 30 plus delivery for a dram).
If you win the lottery or used to be the lead actor from D

Watching Friends is pretty much how I learned English. It was many years after that episode until I found out that wasn't actually the expression.
I still don't know the etymology of moot, but I can't help think Joey's version and explanation makes sense.

I thin I was 11 or when the first episodes (actually the season 2 two-parter chock-full of guest stars) aired on network TV in France.
It was the first time a sitcom was airing on prime time, it was a pretty big deal.

I assumed that was meant as: "in this episode" as we later know everything about how they know each other.

You can probably easily argue that they all at least dislike each other.

Has anyone around here seen Elton John live lately?
He's playing around here soon, I love the early stuff (up to Captain Fantastic), is it worth going to see him?

I'm always amazed that pretty much no one seems to know any song from Tumbleweed Connection.

I actually quite like the later seasons. It's no longer the same show, the characters have been through too much for it to be possible to really care about them, but they went all in for the broad humour and it worked.
The episode I find the funniest is "The One With The Videotape" (or something) in season 8 which is

It reminds me I should investigate Gould's Bach.

Cool.

Would you also consider comparing region 2 (or others) with region 1 editions?

Thanks for the tip @unicyclistperiscopes:disqus , I don't think I've ever come across something from them, but I'll try to look for it.

I remember those, I never bought any as I've always found them relatively expensive.
It's the one with the NY Phil isn't it? I see it's now been reissued in a relatively cheap set, maybe some day.

My sister basically didn't talk until she was three, I wasn't that much older so can't tell you a lot more, but she's fine now, once she started talking you wouldn't have been able to tell she started later.

Which Mahler 7? And would it be the one you recommend?
