I didn't have MTV growing up so I missed all their videos when they came out. After reading this article and looking at a few, I realized that the "Faithfully" video started the whole "on the road video" trend which other bands started doing, like in Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive". Speaking of "Faithfully", I

Somewhere I have the original Flash file from 2001, but it looks like someone uploaded this to youtube finally a few years ago. I don't know who made it, but behold, one of the finest uses of Flash Version 3 ever, Journey: A Tribute To America:

Greatest Hits gets docked two starts because it lacked Feeling that Way/Anytime. "Girl Can't Help It" could have gone by the wayside. Had to go buy Infinity on cassette for my Camaro since my Greatest Hits dub didn't have it.

I actually got into that band strictly because of their name and it made me give them a listen. That said, they got their name from this post on twitter:

Ok, I haven't seen Ghostbusters since it came out and was confused about that "spectral blowjob scene" reference.

This detail is mentioned in the "cast" by the header image but not in the article. One tidbit of trivia I've found interesting about this movie is that THE mickey-you're-so-fine-hey-mickey Toni Basil plays one of the prostitutes in this film.

Good point. I think part of the problem with my two friends is that the relatives had no idea of what to do, so they just did what they felt was best now matter how far the metaphorical black sheep had drifted from the farm.

No green army men?

I've kind of wondered if a will executor has had to go the deceased's favorite online hangout and track down some internet friend in order to distribute something.

I have it written in mine that I want my ashes initially put into a #10 Folgers coffee can (no longer made), ideally found in a barn. My wife and I were in Kansas visiting relatives a couple years ago and sure enough in their old barn was a coffee can.

Somewhere I read he had actually started it but it wasn't a whole lot. (50 pages?) I was extra sad when I realized all those crazy stories he'd accumulated in his unique life, ones he intended to make public at least, passed away with him.

My PSA I've posted here before: If you haven't made a will, do so. You can do it pretty quickly on various websites like Legalzoom, etc for not much money.

I hate mission statements. Why? A place I used to work had this mission statement placed on the wall in the waiting area:

The odd thing about Bumbershoot is that in many cases, navigating a chaotic mosh pit near the front of the stage is much easier than trying to navigate the crowds between two venues.

Start tomorrow morning out with Starfish and Coffee. That song somehow eluded me until around 1993 when I finally heard the whole album. It is one of his catchiest non-radio/single songs.

This is like watching a star being born.

Somewhere I have a tape of a Prince show where Springsteen and Madonna were on stage with him. It was from 84 or 85…I'm sure it can be found on the net. Sound quality wasn't the best.
