Hmm, yeah. "Chevy Van" hit the top 40…March 1975, close enough!

Yeah, it is the only comment board I've found that when I'm not online, I find myself thinking about things/stories I've read on here. Probably one of the best was unfortunately the MCA obituary thread where people were all sharing their Beastie Boys stories.

New Damage is the only real clunker on there for me…always skipped past it.

Or the other song from Louder than Love that my friend hated because everyone on his dorm floor kept singing it to him.

Before Lollapolloza 1993 in Vantage, Washington everyone was camped (some even in vans) down by the Columbia River. That night there was giant bonfire and a huge stereo. Someone put on Jesus Christ Pose, then a guy looking like Mr. Cornell did the very same Jesus Christ Pose with the wall of flames while everyone

Also worked in that the bonus disc on the early pressings was called "SOMMS" (Satan Oscillates My Musical Sonatas)

I need to listen to that again…I really liked that album.

One winter I walked into the indie record store I worked at and one of my (very punk rock in dress and attitude) coworkers said "hey, before you do anything else, go look at the back of the new Mariah Carey Christmas album……….SNOW BUNNY!"

ah ok, thanks.

I remember there were two or three unreleased jokey songs like this that he played also. (It's the Little things that Count, I'm Turning into Elvis, etc)

Well, the radio waves from all that 84-86 airplay are hitting the outer universe by now.

Bruce! Please…keep the amount of musicians on stage limited to what can be counted on one hand, be it a human hand or preferably, the amount on a Simpson's character.

Tesla on Edison: "spent twelve years of hard time, More like the best years of my life. Never heard or read a single word about "the man" and his "wicked mind." They'll sell you on Marconi. Familiar, but a phony. Story goes they sold their souls And swore that you'd never know."
Edison's Medicine - Psychotic Supper.

Weezer's Pinkerton. Played "Tired of Sex" about 10,000 times, then discovered the rest of the album after that. The sound of that song is just wonderful. When he yells "I'm beat, beet red!", ohhh.

Even down to the yelling! I learned the hard way as to what happens when you don't make something square, shop teacher screamed at me that it wasn't square which was why my cassette tapes were not fitting into the rack. I was to terrified to point out that it wasn't square due to his half assed job of cutting stuff

When my wife and I passed that point in our relationship where our CD collections merged a bit, I discovered this album. She had gone to Evergreen in the early 90s and was friends with these folks. I grew to love this album and always wished I had seen them live.

Dogs are awesome, really sucks to lose them.

While watching this video, my dog Ms. Freddie came over, turned around and wagged her tail so it was hitting me in the arm for the whole length of the video. Video was done and she walked away.

I would say actually mad, when you are doing something you and other people enjoy, but bleeding money like crazy, it is a bit demoralizing to have someone come along and rip you off for their own profit and/or recognition.

You forgot "We here at Google are such big fans of The Best Show"
