…Or will he be looking up from hell with indifference?

Although marijuana isn't the drug of choice in this scenario, I nominate Denzel Washington's Whip Whitaker in "Flight" for this list. What's implied, though not stated, in the film is that no pilot would have been brave enough to attempt what he did while sober.

Brad Paisley does more than ballads, and some of his songs are actually pretty funny… Though I'll admit that "Online" is about nerds the way "The Big Bang Theory" is about nerds.

While looking at a picture of Diane and her kids for strength, of course.

Half wolf, half Puerto Rican. It's how she gets her sunny disposition.

Wonder if this means Lucas Black can return to the franchise. I'm guessing that the friendship between Justin Lin and Sung Kang (his "Better Luck Tomorrow" star) was what kept the last three entries set before "Tokyo Drift", in which Kang's character was killed.

Universal exec: "Better Luck Tomorrow quit? Bring me the other Chinaman!"

Ever read "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator"? Kind of a shame that wasn't made into a movie during the Bush administration; we had an imbecilic puppet president and his elderly nanny/vice president who were just ripe for parody!

I'll take your word for it, but I turned off "Oz" after about three episodes, cowering in fear.

It's not hard to do a parody of a pop star. The problem was her accent: she was going for central Asian but sounded like bad Transylvanian.

Actually, now that you mention it, I can totally picture Hamm as the deadpan lead in something like Airplane or Naked Gun. Just as long as someone competent is put in charge; not Friedberg/Seltzer or the Wayanses or present-day Zucker.

Better luck tomorrow, Justin.

It's KERNS!

I'm guessing country stations don't play Pistol Annies because of songs like "The Hunter's Wife". Little bit TOO country for the dilettantes in the cities.

Homer: Sometimes you have to follow your dreams to find your heart.
Marge: You got that off a movie poster!
Homer: When you have nothing left to believe in, believe in hope.Marge: Where'd you hear that?Homer: From the producers of Waiting to Exhale.

Oh yeah, I remember that song. Also "Goodbye Earl" by Dixie Chicks.

The three tiers of country music:

AKA "Holler Annie" from Kentucky. Spellin' ain't too poplar in thum thur' hiyulls.

Oh, man, where to begin…

Hehe, I used to work for Craig Sheffer. He was like, "I warned them that would happen…"
