I would believe that dragons poop obsidian.

Nothing can really fill those. I keep forgetting what his next project is, and I keep needing to remind myself it's the deliciously bizarre alt-history anthology about "What if the Red Army really sucked at murdering one family in a basement?"

To say nothing for at least three out of four members of the band!

Alex has clearly been waiting his entire professional career to write a Metallica song name mad lib about someone peeing on people. Let us let this one moment wash over us.

This isn't a bug, but whatever. My favorite memory of Fallout 1 is how there's no way to tell how much rad damage you've taken, so I did the entire Glow, sucked down all of my radaway, only to discover that I would inevitably die trying to travel from the Glow to anywhere else, meaning I'd wasted however many hours it

This is a book!Littlefinger plan being enacted by show!Littlefinger.

Netflix and Hulu leveraging themselves to the hilt to produce AAA original content (to the tune of billions of dollars). That business model is definitely not sustainable in perpetuity. Either they'll rein it in themselves, or the whole thing is going to collapse.

As the entire cable industry discovered amidst its freefall into irrelevance, that only works for so long.

The #1 reason in everything I've ever read that tries to understand why people pirate media is always because it's easier than trying to buy. For the majority of consumers, if it were convenient to get what they want at a fair price, they would happily pay.

The glory days of consolidating streaming services have already given way to every streaming service deciding it needs to be an original content producer and every studio deciding it needs to host its own streaming service.

Important safety tip: Don't listen to "Code Blue" on a road trip to the mountains with your parents while you still have a learner's permit and your little sister is trying to sleep in the back seat.

Ernie, I'm sure you're a great person. I'm sure you're awesome at Kinja. I'm sure you are committed to making this work, but you are not doing a great job of reading the room here.

Wait, what?

That is oddly specific.

For every one time when embedded media would be the perfect reply to a comment, the other 999,9999,999 times someone will use it will make me want to cut myself.

I honestly have a hard and surprising time articulating why that is so disappointing, but that is so disappointing. Upvotes are a big component of how the commenting community around here works, so to be replacing disqus with a system that provides no support at all for it is sad.

With the caveat that Kinja may or may not be the worst, if you (or for that matter, any of the other regular crowd) stop coming around because of this change, I will be a sad.

That is not a helpful system at all.

So when you say "claim" a Kinja account, does that mean that all of our usernames will be preserved with all comments ported over? Like, I just have to be like "Oh hey, I'm Frosstbyte on AVClub, so now I'm Frosstbyte on Kinja?"

Yeah, I edited to reflect that, but her phrasing more than suggested that she was adopting their perspective.
