All of those people, except maybe Quinto and Panetierre, had other popular, successful projects. I don't think they wake up each morning thanking their lucky stars for the privilege of having been involved in that show.

Apparently, yes. That's been his look for lo these many years.
You know why she didn't make it in, George? Because you hadn't finished the series, so it was impossible for them to evaluate how important she was to your narrative arc!
I actually sort of wish a studio would make a surprise tie in or prequel or sequel or something. Right before Life came out, there was that chatter (obviously false) that it was a backdoor Venom prequel. How amazingly cool would that have been?
Wait, what?
Man oh man do I hope that they don't blow it with season 2 of that show. Season 1 is sooooooo good and works gangbusters, as you said, on a first watch and rewatches, but it's going to be a tough follow up. I really hope they pull it off.
Humans, for all of the things we are good at, really really really suck at falling. As a species, we're comically (or, maybe better put in this context, tragically) inept when it comes to heights.
Yeah, I should amend it to say atrocious legal work. Basically no one did their job.
Yes. Anyone taking any definitive stand on what happened is probably reading someone else's interpretation that they've decided (for whatever reason) is correct.
Aaaaand we're all on a watchlist.
- Seb from LaLa Land as mouthpiece for Damien Chazelle, presumably
I'm not saying it's not a cool climax, but it's nowhere near at the level of the others ones I mentioned, I don't think.
Oh, I didn't refresh once that was updated. Seems like the kind of high profile, flashy performance that will get Russell ignored.
It's been brought to my attention by someone who claims to know these things that S3 of The Leftovers aired too late to be considered for this year, so it might just be a weird timing issue, not a global snub issue.
For one, neither Hopkins nor ERW should be classified as leads. Westworld is the ensemble-iest ensemble to ever ensemble. For another, neither of them was doing such distinguished work as to merit recognition. I enjoyed that show, but it did not really merit tons of acting nods.
That's not literally the only use of the "But that's none of my business" meme, but it is universally deployed by people who want to indulge in their own smug self-satisfaction. It's the worst.
Right. You get the impression that Martin thought the fight in the colosseum and Drogon's reappearance to rescue Dany would be a similar climactic setpiece as Ned's execution or the Red Wedding. NOPE.
The best example of how ASoIaF works extremely differently on a reread than a read is the lead up to the Red Wedding. I'm sure plenty of people saw it coming on their first read through, but most people I know were pretty stunned by it (because, even if you had a vague sense of dread, you probably weren't expecting it…
I blame the same internet idiots who made Pepe what he is today for making Kermit into a condescending meme frequently used by alt-right trolls to snark about social justice.
I'm mostly being glib. JJ is by far my favorite of the Netflix Marvel shows, but experience has taught me that whenever I see people on the internet pitch really neat little nuggets of concepts like this one, that I should not get my hopes up about every seeing them happen.
