Despite the proximity, I've only ever been to Germany once. Berlin, to be exact. The people were mostly nice and they seemed to appreciate my attempts to speak German, even though I'm really, really terribly at it.

I hardly think I'm more interesting in real life than you or anyone else here.
I just don't know that much about movies or music or games or even most TV shows, so that kind of limits the amount of discussions in which I can partake.
Also, the time difference trips me up a bit sometimes.
I legitimately don't think I could handle it for very long.
Wow, I hadn't even noticed that I'd passed 1000. That kind of feels like a milestone!
I think we're often seen as far too direct and blunt.
I've been fortunate enough to have visited France often, and I never thought the French were particularly rude, either.
I do think it helps that I speak the language, though. Addressing French people in their own language, or at least making some kind of attempt at it, seems to help a lot.
I don't anger easily at all, but rudeness really gets my goat.
Whenever I'm in a Starbucks and I see someone walk up to the barista, bark "Bone dry cappuccino, extra shot!" in their face and continue on without a "Please", "Thank you" or even a "Hello", it makes my blood boil a bit.
I see, thanks for clarifying.
That actually sounds pretty cool! I think I will watch it now.
It was really just the brain eating that was holding me back, but it sounds a lot less disturbing than I imagined.
Huh, that's interesting. Thanks!
Thank you for explaining! I might check it out, see if I can stomach it.
It sounds like a fun show.
I kind of see your point. For me, the show still works because the characters still work.
I have a bit of a silly question about iZombie. They eat brains on that show, right?
How gross/graphic is the brain eating?
It really would have been exceptionally gutsy and very bittersweet.
I liked season 7, because it focused on Sam a lot and I thought his struggle was very compelling. But yeah, the whole Dick Roman thing was silly.
It was the ending that Kripke originally wanted for his show.
And it would have been incredibly gutsy. But also very, very sad.
They were. I thought 6 was a bit of a clunker, but the show started to get back on its feet in season 7, even though the Leviathan/Dick Roman storyline was poorly handled. Season 8 and 9 were kind of unsteady, but had occasional sparks of brilliance.
Dean's betrayal of Sam in season 9 really bummed me out, though. I…
I have literally been watching Supernatural for almost half my life and I love the show and the characters, but even I have to admit that the writers rely on that tactic too heavily.
Aw, it's not a bad show.
One of my all-time favorites, actually.
Apparently, this deal only applies to the U.S.
That's too bad.
I feel like Dutch Netflix is the worst Netflix.
At least France gets Supernatural.
