I see your point, however I don't think that that particular avenue of legal recourse would have been open to Thiel.

I agree to a point, but things like forcibly outing someone and publicizing sex tapes go well beyond the scope of that sentiment, I think.

I'm so conflicted on this.
On the one hand, it is scary that a very rich person is able to destroy a media outlet through agressive litigation. As a student of the law and a fan of the free press, that is not something I can approve of.

Yeah, that must have been so hard for her.
Can you imagine going through something like that and then having to play a fictional version of your ordeal on tv? Awful.

Yeah, it's very sad.
I thought she was very brave to speak up about such a stigmatized health issue and it sucks that it's apparently still seriously affecting her.

I'm happy about this news because I enjoy a show a lot (I know, I know) but I wonder if the whole cast will be returning.

I agree, the music is often very good and it tends to have more of a rock or singer-songwriter vibe.
I'm glad that's it's officially been renewed now!

I'm basically down for anyone believing anything, as long as it's not doing any harm.
I'd say intelligent design is pretty much harmless, like you said.

I tend to agree.

My teacher would have liked you.

Maybe I do, I can't pretend to know much about the American educational system.

That's kind of sad.

Maybe something similar does exist, though?
It was basically about different ways to look at the world, drawing from philosophy, history, religion and science.

He was a biology teacher, forced to teach a philosophy-adjacent* class due to the fact that the school temporarily didn't have an actual philosophy teacher on staff.

I did have a teacher in high school who, when the curriculum called for a class discussion on evolution vs creation, basically told all of us that creationism is nonsense for silly people.

I am loathe to defend this dumb movie, but I do believe that the professor wants all his students to sign a statement stating that they recognize that God is dead, before they can partake in his seminar.

Yeah, they do pile on the "Daphne feels left out" thing pretty heavily.
Then again, she's had a rough couple of years what with her dad going to jail, Rayna's botched relationship with Luke and Maddie constantly bagging on her for being… Young? And that was before the whole emancipation thing even went down.

Yeah, some of the storylines grind my gears as well.

As one of the ten people on this website who actually enjoy this show, I'm pleased that it lives on!

That movie wasn't really a thing in my country, but based on what I know about it I never, ever would've been allowed to see it.
