Haha, I've actually gotten that response from people before.

Yeah, something terrible happened to him that night and he hasn't been the same since.

I know, it's tragic!

I actually came across the dad's letter first and it made me nauseous, and then I read the survivor's letter and it made me cry.

Ah yes, the old rape vs real rape distinction.

That letter is dreadful.

It really is. It's right up there with Bambi's mom.

Fun/weird story:
Growing up, my very protective parents deemed The Lion King too dark for my sensibilities, because of Mufasa's death.

Aw, he always comes across like such a sweet guy.

I wonder if that's true.
I suppose it would be interesting to see how far my governments loyalty to America extends.

Oof, that sounds grim.

He really is being forced into a pretty awkward position.
I wonder if he wishes that he'd stuck to his initial position on Trump.

Who could resist such a disclaimer?

Whenever I feel the urge to laugh at America for allowing Trump's rise, I quickly remember that over here, we have Geert Wilders.

That's true. It was expected, but dissappointing nonetheless.

Oh I agree that Craig Ferguson was heaps and heaps better than Corden.
I was a huge fan of him and his show. He was truly unique as a host.

He's definitely not a bad-looking guy. The scruff certainly becomes him.
More importantly, I thought it was a bold and respectable move of him to speak out against Trump's proposed ban on muslims.

I've only recently started going back and watching some of her old stuff as a correspondent, but based on my limited knowledge I would definitely agree that she's improved a lot.

Both. I never watched the Daily Show when she was on it, because I wasn't really interested in American politics back then.

I guess I see your point, his brand of humor is not exactly edgy.
But I kind of like his positivity.
