I mean Ghost Reveries. Their best albums is Ghost Reveries.

The Blackening starts out amazing but kind of dwindles too much as the album goes on, no?

Forget everything else on this list, Little Final Fantasy Fighter Man, and just go get yourself Opeth's Blackwater Park. Then come back and thank me.

Cynics work is like Mastodon's in that it gives people plenty to argue about. I am in the camp opposite yours, and it gets me yelled at a lot.

Fuck yes, Cynic! How was that NOT on your list, Pierce?

I don't hear Motorhead when I listen to Torche though. I hear Strung Out.

I still say Torche is more punk than metal, but often find I am the only one that feels that way.

Anaal Nathrakh,
I picked up the Codex Necro per your previous recommendation. Total fucking AWFUL. Are you serious? You're forgiven for your love of Earthless.

The only people who care about what chicks think about the music they listen to are people who can't get laid on their own merit. Listening to shitty music in the hopes it gets you laid is sadder than any scenario Sausage Fest is imagining.

And hey, I kind of like the shitty production quality on Show No Mercy.

I suggested the studio albums so Z1 could be even more impressed with the fury that is Decade. I am the kind of person who likes to hear the studio versions of songs before hearing them live, but if someone wants a crash course I guess they could just dive into Decade.

South of Heaven, then Seasons, then Diabolus in Musica. Then familiarize yourself with pre Reign in Blood albums like Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits and then have your mind blown by Decade of Aggression.

The Best Compliment
It seems the best thing you can say about a metal album right now is that it sounds like it came out after band x's best albums. Endgame is great because it sounds like what should have come out after Rust in Peace. Cavelara Conspiracy is great because it sound like what should have come out after

These Articles
This is the second or third GtG to convince me to check out a genre I was previously unaware of or mostly unfamiliar with. Either the AVC makes strong cases or maybe I am weak willed.

This is not a coincidence. You brought this hell on us Rabin. You mentioned him and now, like Beetlejuice, he is unleashed upon us. Go forth, and rid us of this evil.

Hey, that is the Christmas story kid. Now I feel guilty about hating this movie's existence.

Come on, Cohaagen! Give those people air!

I would have said something about Freshman if I was going for a firsty without reading the article before hand.

ZMF, are you old enough to get into bars yet? I think the Chicago based AVC readership should by you a shot or two.
