I just read the Pitchfork review. It perfectly summed up how I felt when I first heard this album a couple of weeks ago. Guess I'll go shrink my jeans.

Wrong. Gossard and Ament were in Green River who greatly influenced Nirvana. Eddie Vedder was in San Diego's Bad Radio roughly around the same time as Nirvana's inception. You don't have to like Pearl Jam, but stop giving Nirvana too much credit. There were a zillion bands that sounded like them in Seattle in the late…
Nooobody calls me Daughter
I'm not fit to
I have a Zune and it's awesome. The only real drawback is not a lot of people have them, but then, is that even a draw back? (Assuming they keep making them, anyway.) I dislike iTunes. If you're using a PC it tends to be laggy and slow. Plus, you get like twice the capacity for half the price with a Zune.
Well, Pearl Jam had a better drummer in Dave Abruzzese, but he got kicked out of the band because Eddie Vedder was trying to earn punk points with Fugazi and Abruzese liked money. Or something. Man the 90s were equal parts awesome and dumb.
The art is by bad ass political cartoonist Tom Tomorrow.
Matt Cameron is one of the best people to come out of the 90s. You're usually right, but not here Arsenio. Check out one the bazillion live albums PJ released between 2000 and 2003 and stand corrected.
Good insight on Unemployable being a template for this album. I also found it underwhelming. Did Mike McCready lose some fingers? Were is the energy? The whole thing feels like B sides from Avacado and Into the Wild.
This is NOT a comeback
Binaural and the self-titled avocado album are far superior to this one.
This is why everyone kisses ZMF's ass: because he is hilarious. "…AND KERRY KING BEATING THE FUCK OUT OF DAVE MUSTAINE" is the funniest thing that will be posted on this site all day.
@Not Trolling - You misunderstood my interest. I want to have a good laugh at Belushi's expense because he is one of my least favorite people in show biz.
That is all I need to know. I am buying this today. Does anyone know if that letter is archived somewhere? I so badly want to read it.
Was. Since they updated their site it has been lost to the ages.
This book would be worth its weight in gold if it had his letter to Jim Belushi. I have scoured the internet for it and come up empty. God I hate Jim Belushi.
I have a friend in the industry that has been going on and on and on about this movie for over a year now, and he is really excited. I usually find his advice on film to be sage, but this looks like a good video game at best. Now I just want to play Oddworld.
I still can't believe this isn't a joke
When I first saw a TV teaser for this a couple of weeks ago, I was certain I was watching a parody of some sort. The concept of this movies is just so absurd, especially as it's presented in 30 second ads.
Doc, I am as sober as church mouse and I still thought that was hilarious.
I'm not defending Phish, but "trust fund" is usually the phrase my friends and I toss around when we're making fun of the uber-urban scenester kids in my neighborhood. How ironic.
You two are impatient posters, apparently.
