That is INSANE. As if I needed a reason to hate advertisements any more. I can't believe they would say reruns are more 'fresh' with out-of-place digital/CGI ads for current stuff. I am literally disgusted.

I love this show. And not just because of my username. The thing I don't love is my stupid Canadian syndicate channel (Global) cutting off the credits so they can show promos for other shows. -_- I wanted to see the Belcher kids riding their hogs!

I miss the days of  "Capital City". Parodies are usually funnier than "hey, this is a real place with the real people from the place, but it's WACKY!" Especially on Simpsons.

Overall, I liked this episode. Some good plot advancement, although I am starting to get the feeling that they are making the overall plot more complicated and unnecessary just so they can drag it out another season if they have to. The best shows quit while they are ahead and I think HIMYM is starting to get to that…

I just saw a FG cutaway a couple weeks ago where Peter was making fun of Robin Williams. I know the show is not exactly supposed to have perfect consistency, but seems weird that Peter is suddenly a huge fan. And I wish they had got his actual voice.

I have to agree that the episode was a bit loud for me. Gene is hilarious, but he had almost too many lines, and that combined with the fact you couldn't see his face half the time made him a bit less likeable, somehow.

What a fitting send off for this season. An odd couple of jokes, and the rest of it not feeling like Simpsons at all.
