I'm not bashing him for that.  But it's clear that those sketches and recurring characters are what he does best and what the largest audiences respond to.

Basically, DC is slowly transforming into a Bobby Fischer type.  He has people attached to him and defending him now, but in 10-20 years it will be plainly obvious that his fame completely shattered his psyche and there is no subtext or meaning to his unacceptable behavior.

He really should just stay out of the public eye.

I have basically no sympathy for this guy.  He based his mainstream success around one-note recurring sketches.  I watched some of his standup attempts on YouTube lately and it's nowhere near "comedy," but he gets away with it!  If you get booed off stage you failed at your job as a comedian.

This is like blaming rape victims.  Unbelievable!
