I kind of agree (although Travis Fimmel is not British but Australian).

I was looking at that glossary online the other day (https://ghostradio.wordpres… - what a strange idea on the studio's part. I'd read the novel beforehand and was still confused by the movie, so I can't imagine a 2-page handout being of much use to anybody.

Just guessing here, but Collins is the name of a major British publisher of dictionaries and reference books, so perhaps it relates to some kind of Collins-produced Scrabble reference book/resource?

If Matthew Russell never turns up to defend himself, I say we take that as confirmation that he is, indeed, history's most sadistic serial killer. Frankly, I can't say that I'm surprised - I never trusted him one bit.

As an aside, Bob Hoskins is the least convincing Brummie ever - his Birmingham accent in Felicia's Journey isn't really up to scratch, sadly, and it takes me right out of the movie.

Yes - Hitchcock's two best movies, for me (with Rear Window in 3rd place).

But what of Marc Blucas as Riley? As a heterosexual man, I have no opinion about him one way or the other, but apparently he's worse than Hitler.

And she actually knows how to act.

Yeah, I think The Voyage Home gets overlooked a bit because it's the humorous one, but it's the movie I'm most likely to actually sit down and watch if it happens to be on, while giving the other two TOS-movies a miss (despite thinking they might actually be better movies-as-movies).

Yes. In an ideal world, Marah would get every would-be Hatesong participant to read Steve Coogan's Hatesong entry beforehand, and if they didn't think they could match his level of articulacy, they would bow out.

Now that's funny.

Sure. I mean, I used to do what he does, so I'm a bit of a hypocrite in that regard. Still doesn't mean I don't find it annoying, though. And it's not even a good joke!

You do, apparently, because why would somebody come to a comments section just to comment that they don't care about the article they're commenting on? That would just be a waste of time for everyone.

Indeed. Indian-guy-in-whiteface = not actually offensive but blackface = genuinely, off-the-charts-racist is a nuance most Australian racists (racist Australians? same thing?) would struggle to appreciate.

Yes, that happened more than once on that show (Hey Hey It's Saturday, as Angus says), and it was always a foreign judge who called them out on it - UK writer/comic Ben Elton is the other guest judge who springs to mind, and he basically reacted the same way Connick did. I think his and Connick's appearances were a

Traditional animation is great. But then, all forms of animation are worthwhile, if they're done well.

I disagree, it sounds better on vinyl - it's warmer and more authentic, you can really hear the valves.

What, like a CRT television? Yeah, I think you're on your own there.

I'll say! It's so obvious she's actually meant to be from Hertfordshire!* Cockney! The very idea!

I don't think Dances With Wolves should have won the Oscar instead of Goodfellas, but I've never understood why everyone dislikes DWW so much - It's quite an enjoyable movie in its own right. It's as though the stink that came off Waterworld retrospectively affected everything of Costner's that came before.
