Wasteland started out great, but it started meandering around volume 4 and didn't recover by the time I stopped reading at volume 6. Plus Christopher Mitten left the book and the replacement artist(s) weren't nearly as good - a lot of the atmosphere was lost.

The destruction of all the other Marvel Universes has actually made me rather melancholy. All of those characters now gone, and all their stories now untold.

Eh, the best part of Age of X was the subsequent issue, where SPOILER! most of the X-men agreed that Emma Frost should just wipe their memories, and they should never speak of it again.

I found the Man on the Wall premise to be rather nonsensical, considering it requires ignoring that there's an existing, large governmental entity that does almost the the same thing.

Hawkeye and Black Widow both have soon-to-be-concluded series that are relatively short and stand-alone. Hawkeye is written by Matt Fraction, and Widow is by Nathan Edmondson.

Unfortunately, because the Minimons* are alternate universe versions of the Maximoffs, Marvel already has a trademark. You, Cheese, and I all share creator credits, which works out to about $0.71 each when the movie rights get sold.

Patricia and Waldo Minimoff = Mercury and the Vermillion Warlock. Perfect.

Hey, Generation X was good - for about 25 issues. And Seagle and Kelly had some interesting ideas - that were cut off at the knees by editorial. So I guess your point stands.

Your edit is correct. He died/became an energy being in New X-men, briefly re-incorporated in Endsong and a Nation X one-off, and came back for good during Schism.

If you want to catch up on X-men, you can read the Avengers vs. X-men event, and then start with the most recent iteration of Uncanny X-men and All-New X-men, both of which are written by Brian Michael Bendis.

You're probably better off that way. I read way to much X-men, and am constantly saddened how so many characters get ignored so that yet another book can be written around Cyclops, Storm and Wolverine.

Then everyone forgets about it till it happens again.
I'd like to think that this is an intentional choice by Bendis, and Jean is just using her powers to smooth things over. But it is Bendis, so your second paragraph is probably correct.

Or maybe he's not bi anymore, because Jean doesn't believe in bisexuality.

It wouldn't be as easy as you think. Doug got powerboosted when he came back from the dead - now he reads "body language" and can learn any fighting style.

Bobby has SPACE GAYNESS.

They would be totally unable to function because it would be like dozens, if not hundreds, of people would be constantly shouting at them simultaneously

Heh, the spirit of the 90s was alive and well in the late 80s.

Anole, Bling, Prodigy, Rictor, and Benjamin Deeds are all LGBT, but none of these characters are a main focus in the books.

Pre-Dark Reign Beast is one of my favorite characters. I wouldn't mind if the current Beast got dropped into a wormhole and was never seen again.

Bendis is coming to it so late in his run, with only an issue and change left to expound on it
