Yeah, this is a nothingburger.
Yeah, this is a nothingburger.
I’m not sure if he meant the “woman” part in a disparaging way - it seemed like he was using the word because he couldn’t say “this guy.” More concerning is the fact that he’s had just about enough of those homosexual cowboy fellers.
I will miss this column and more importantly, I will miss your writing and your reviews. I don’t want to have to use Twitter, but I will check your posts periodically. I hope to see your byline in print somewhere in the future.
Seriously feel you helped me stop being such a movie snob and understand the merits of the Rom-Com, and how the different eras play into our ideas of love and relationships. Just because something is light doesn’t mean it can’t shape us in some way. and the performances by these women, even if the movie doesn’t set…
Just hopping on here to say thank you. I have adored this series (is it hyperbole to say it’s been my favorite thing on the internet these past four years??). I have to admit, I was a bit misty-eyed by the time I got to that last paragraph; like so much of the quality content on the AV Club, I am very sad to see it…
I have lived in the Detroit area all my life. I’m just saying that I respectfully disagree with Dr Emilio Lizardo that you are missing out. While I enjoy paczkis once a year, they really aren’t that different from a somewhat more decadent jelly donut.
Caroline, thank you for this series so much, it’s been a wonderful journey, I’ll miss it and you so much!
Thank you for this series. I haven’t seen (or heard of, in some cases) every movie you wrote about, but I have read every article, and they all made me want to see the movie. I won’t go on about how this series ending feels like the end of an era (though it does), or how this was maybe the last remaining regular…
Isn’t it great how universal some food is? The filled doughnut: pączki, sufganiyah, bombolone, or pfannkuchen, the list is endless. We can all agree that if you fry dough and fill it, the world gets a little better.
You are truly missing out. They get interpreted a lot of different ways, so I usually end up going to a bunch of different Polish bakeries and eat way too many of them.
I’d actually love to see a picture of someone riding off with a loaded bicycle Costco run lol!
it can work out well for single people, as long as youve got room and dont mind eating the same thing a lot, which makes it a lot easier
Samples and a hot dog.
Their car buying service has decent reviews though.
The United Fruit Company brought down governments, with the CIA’s aid. This is penny ante stuff compared to what has been historically done by America.
“Making a Costco trip by oneself is pretty daunting”
My Costco card’s picture is me holding my (at-the-time) 1 year old son. The person behind the counter recommended I pick him up for it because “He would make the picture 100% cuter.” I can not say they were wrong about that.
i once saw a man going into costco after parking his motorcycle. I didn’t know what he was doing there.
You should probably check the URL up top before bitching about Jalopnik.
I legit miss going to Costco. Their food, both in the food court and in the grocery section, was legit great. They are also really good for stocking up on office supplies. Also got two phones there, and both of them came with screen protector and case for cheaper than just the phone itself at Best Buy or whatever.
