Man, I've been trying, mainly for nostalgia's sake, but I really dislike how the first three episodes were all origin stories, and I really, really dislike that the series seems to only be about the turtles fighting giant, mutated monsters. I guess I wasn't expecting too much, but from reading the IDW comics, I was…
It was good—Biden clearly had the edge on substance, though I suspect his demeanor will be more divisive. Most of the conservatives I know on facebook are chiding him for being disrespectful and rude. Everyone else is pretty much in love with him right now.
They're waiting to publish it so that it can maximize the IMPACT THE FILM WILL HAVE ON THE ELECTION!
As that dude who runs badass digest pointed out on twitter a few days ago, Romney may be winning on XBOX, but XBOX is also where hordes of kids and young adults call each other "ni**er" and "fa**ot" while playing out fantasies involving large guns.
That's okay, I'm extra nervous with the Reds pitching situation with Cueto injured. Latos on 4 days rest could be sketchy, and I'm not sure which is worse for a possible game 5—Arroyon on 4 days rest, or Mike Leake.
But will it influence the election?
I agree with roare…I kind of enjoyed the first two episodes (neither were great, but they showed real potential). Tonight's took some serious work. The first third was just bad, the middle was mildly funny, and the end had a strong joke or two (I strangely enjoyed the bathroom attendant bit, I don't know), but the…
I'm in love with the songs for WKRP in Cincinnati and Taxi.
The carrots in the stew line was the favorite in our household..but the hot sauce on the wiener line was a close second.
I'm not sure a Go On/Community pairing would be a great idea. It might shine extra light on the elements of Go On's premise that are, at times, strikingly similar to Community's.
By this time of year, I'm normally burnt out and share that sentiment. But this year, with the Reds actually doing well in the postseason, I'm a little more, "awesome, baseball."
I've been away from the computer most of the day watching baseball and getting caught up on things we recorded on the DVR over the weekend.
Does this mean a quota decrease of infinity?
I do what @avclub-c252b9390befbfe200d59090a071c413:disqus said. I have my list, then I watch them in the order of that ranking, making adjustments as necessary.
I'd give it a "For Your Eyes Only," which isn't shabby.
Here, here. Fight Club has the strange distinction of being 1) The only Palahnioauhdfak book worth half a damn, and 2) One of the few instances in which I feel a film adaptation is better than its book.
Do these lists require extensive write ups? I haven't been around as much since the semester started, so I haven't seen any. If none of the more-regulars want these and the write-ups aren't expected to be huge, I'll do them.
So, The Mindy Project was fun tonight, if unexceptional. Go On, on the other hand, was awful. I'm trying to be fair, but it was just so unbelievably bad tonight. I'd explain more, but I'm just not invested enough.
What are these lists of which you speak? I like Pavement and Big Star.
