Like when it was animated, and the Transformers cursed, and Weird Al was involved.

Man, this has been an excellent year to be a Reds fan.
Whoa—which one?
Who said anything about despising anything?
So, about a year ago I started writing a chapbook of fake television show pilots. They were meant to be absurd without being straight up parody—kind of part fiction/part tv and cultural criticism.
Nice. Thanks for doing these reviews. I find them very informative. Have you written up The Gold Rush blu? I just ordered it from the 50% off sale.
You've got some good advice already, but I thought I'd throw in my own. To get a well-rounded picture of the stronger portions of R.E.M.'s career, consider this as a starting point, chronologically:
Yeah—I'm at this point where I'm circumventing dealing with the women issue by thinking of it as, these two characters were brought together because they had trouble with the specific women in their lives, rather than reading it as ALL women are cruel/crazy/controlling. This may be a copout though. Subsequent viewings…
PTA is my favorite present filmmaker as well (my favorite of all time is probably still Altman—but Altman has a lot of fluff in his filmography). If I ranked by rewatches, it'd be PDL, M, BN, HE, TWBB.
You are the opposite of me. Almost.
So, a friend and I drove to The City to see The Master tonight.
Hey @avclub-f8f8c273f326be25421cc62737d24a9e:disqus and @avclub-eede55069a8d3430b54730901f49c230:disqus and any of you other Criterion fans— I'm assuming you've heard about Criterion's 50% off sale at the CC website?
Since I've been in graduate school, I've really only had time to follow one sport at a time. I'm looking for the luxury of having enough time to follow two sports!
I haven't started following the Bengals yet. I'm one of those weird Americans for whom football season doesn't begin until baseball season ends. Go Reds!
Man, I've thought about buying the dvd on ebay for years. I'm so glad I waited.
That…is excellent news.
I second SBT. I've been collecting criterion's for a decade now, but somehow only have about 30. Tell me more.
Such a great late-era episode.
Put an 'A' on it.
Seems to me the problem with the above article is that the critic isn't even particularly interested in trying to deconstruct the movie. It's fine to not like something. But it seems odd, as a critic, to be so dismissive of something that others in the field are treating seriously.
