There are now pornstars who were born in 1993. You are old

Wind's blowin up a gale today
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sage thicket. "Vamonos, amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintcraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight…

Lost City of Z
Much more interested in Brad Pitt starring in James Gray's Lost City of Z

Mike Leigh
One of my favorite filmmakers working today, but isn't he known for being sort of a jerk in interviews?

I'll go…

I just watched Raising Cain and it's very uneven, but it also has some of De Palma's best moments. The long walk and talk through that ridiculous police station climaxing with "You should see the expression on her face" is glorious. Also: "Watch out with that sundial! You're gonna kill somebody!"

Fuck the Weez
Creep of the century

I'm a huge Demme fan, but I would say Storefront Hitchcock is not a good gateway. Just start listening to every album he made in order; skipping Groovy Decay and stopping with Jewels For Sophia

Now do Robyn Hitchcock!
Do it!

Kyle's An Asshole, you asshole, that's why I qualified it with an "…as presented in the film"

Basically all the Texans in Arcade Fire are prickish twats
and all the Canadians in Arcade Fire are innocuous dweebs who miss delicately playing their violins in smaller venues and churches and whatnot

I liked the movie and Mr Brainwash was very funny, but what did you find so fascinating about the world of street art as presented in the film? Aside from Banky's images on the Israeli wall, it all seemed pretty lame to me

The thing is most of these voters don't bother watching half the films on the ballot before voting (especially with docs/shorts/foreign films). Exit Though the Gift Shop has an okay shot at winning because it's popped up on a bunch of critics list and whatnot. So lazy voters might just pencil it in, even if the wiki

Ain't nuthin wrong wit that

So… has Thom Yorke been wearing a wig for the past ten years or something?

The '76 King Kong was on the other night
I watched the shit out of it. Highly entertaining and sneakily the best out of the three Kong movies. Grodin owns

No US release. Stay tuned for next year's list, tho!

Lohan kinda ticked me off in that movie. Spends half her screen time running around naked but suddenly, in the one scene where she has to kiss Danny Trejo, she clams up and they call in the stunt double? Seriously, you stuck-up whore? I mean even Jessica honkin Alba had no problems mauling that guy with her tongue.

Plus, Robyn Hitchcock was the house band

In that case it was probably the African American staff writer!
