No I get that which is why I never really decidedly felt it until this episode. The phone call from home that gets cut off, that she never bothers to reply. That she fixes her hair and sits upright, thinking it might be someone else. The slum as soon as it's her mother. The way she treats other females in the show. I

Skip Veep and go to The Thick of It. That's where it's at

I hate saying this because but I think Joan is a bad person. The few plots that have made us feel for her over the years- her husband was a bad dude, her sleeping with that guy for partnership, being a single mother etc. are distractions from the fact she's not actually that nice. Crummy people also have shit lives

I didn't pick up the noble savage aspect either but I also didn't seem to feel the racist undertones you did either. How was the dance scene offensive to you?

This episode upset me because I realised even though it was less funny, because it was more structured, I enjoyed it more than usual mindy episodes. That goes against how great and funny a person I thought I was.

I'd argue the best line was Betsy saying Josh looked like an example photo at a barbershop.

I agree. three really meh episodes in a row. Shame but at least there's a few really funny lines per episode.

God I was hoping the box would explode and kill Quinn. I hate her in this show. She doesn't fit at all in their world. She feels like another show… like Happy Endings or something. Nora was a much better "challenge" girlfriend for Barney.

I agree with a few comments below, thought this was quite average for a studio ghibli.  It is, of course, beautiful and it was nice to come along for the journey of the borrower's lives but the characters weren't interesting enough this time to keep me interested. The end was pretty flat as a result. Could have

nooooooooooo. This was such a terrible film.
I don't understand how, when this film already exists in the form of Revolutionary Road, there can be any good reviews for this? I don't think Revolutionary Road was fantastic but next to Blue Valentine, it was AMAZING.
The only good thing about Blue Valentine was when they

Saw these guys in concert a few weeks ago and it was one of the worst concerts I've ever been to. They stood in the dark, played video art, and hadn't prepared anything to say. Why are bands like these so boring to watch?

Scarlett Johansson is murder to any film.

but I need coach's wife on tv. Constantly. I don't care what form/character she takes

I guess he might mean that in the same way people say Sopranos is not about the mafia.

very late on this one but it only just got screened in Aus and I agree, solid A+. HILARIOUS. Jessica Alba has given me several new favourite movie quotes including "YES, I AM A WOMAN OF THE LAW" and "WE DIDN'T CROSS THE BORDER. THE BORDER CROSSED US!"

just saw this
and it was a shame it didn't hit the mark because Emma Stone has great delivery. The character's motives are confusing and are grasping at straws and the realisation was underwhelming.

Just saw this movie
and it felt as though someone had a bet going on that they could use all the video transitions that haven't been touched since the early 90s. At least they were so decidedly strange that for a few moments I was distracted by the shit film I was watching.
