Just recently watched "Dog Day Afternoon", and my takeaway thought on the film (aside from it's being nearly flawless) was sadness over the fact that many of the main talent involved are dead: Sidney Lumet, John Cazale, James Broderick, Frank Pierson. Unfortunately, we can now add Charles Durning to that list. RIP.
