Perfect party song.  I mean the DFA remix was pretty good, but the original was absolutely perfect.

Yeah, Toni Collette is one of my favorite actresses but I still haven't seen a lot of her stuff.  Fun to see her speak in her native accent.

Oh come on.  The dubstep shit was crucial.  It's like you think it's ridiculous, but then it gets RIDICULOUS.

Originally I wanted The Golem, but I went for The Tin Drum instead.  I was trying to avoid longer movies so that I could knock off the 30 more easily, but there you go.  Pretty good movie, though I'd still say the strongest aspect was the lead actor boy.  Holy hell!

Yeah, not everything worked for me, but it was still a good time at the movie.  Fun fact: 95% of the theater was made up of older white people.  :(  I get so lonely sometimes.

YES.  That one is really fun.  I think my favorite Makavejev is still the one about the missing switchboard operator lady.

After I posted my comment I had to triple check because I wasn't sure if it was Orgasm or Organism.  It really is the same diff in this case.

Ah, it was just a play my friend directed that her friend wrote.  Very small thing, wouldn't even have heard of it…They got a play accepted into the NYC Fringe, so I'm looking forward to that too!

The 30 movies from 30 countries wasn't my idea, it's part of a Letterboxd thing I'm doing.  The peer pressure is keeping me going, haha.  It's been really fun so far, though.

- Lincoln Center is doing a Burt Lancaster retrospective, so I went to see Siodmak's The Killers, which uh, was nothing like People on Sunday.  I'm not sure how I feel about Ava Gardner's performance, sometimes I was really into it and sometimes I was like, "Mm, maybe they should have tried one more take."  Still, I

Which leads me back to the idea Lecter should have gone to like, theater school when he was younger.  He would have done so well during Shakespeare AND improv classes.  Things could have been so different, y'all!

[- EDIT: I also loved Lecter calling referring to himself as lean. I stared at his beautiful face on the screen and was like, "Yes, you definitely are."]

Yes, I absolutely wouldn't want you or anyone else to be overshare-y.  This site feels safe and as if we're all a big community, but it doesn't mean we should be lax about privacy.  There's all sorts of weirdos around…

You know, Lee Child isn't literature but it's not a bad read.  Definitely a breezy way to spend one's time.

Ugh, the whole economics of the situation make me pissy.  See, this is why people were mad at Bruce Lee for bringing martial arts to Westerners.

I agree with you, I really like these posts!

…you seem so angry about it.  Can you tell me about someone you do find beautiful?

I have to admit, when I picked up the DVD for Delicatessen I thought it was for The City of Lost Children.  Then I started watching it and I was like, "Oh right, this isn't the Christmas movie, it's the one about cannibals!"

Yeah, I'm glad I watched it too, so I won't have to watch it again.  LOLOLOL.

I think chances for Eurovision coverage are veeeeeeery slim.  I think Singles Jukebox will cover it since they've done it in the past.  I like them a lot.
