I think without Izzy to act as a buffer/ally to Axl, the odds of this tour lasting through to the end decreases. Izzy always seemed like the adult in the room.

Definitely give his biography a read. It was better than Slash's, and I thought that was a pretty honesty bio.
Lobster Tails or GTFO.
That's no moon.
Its hit or miss. I like the artist only stations as way to be sure I find something familiar when I just don't want to think. But you can't listen too much or it gets a bit repetitive. Also some of the "fans talking to other fans" shows are awful. There's a Friday night call-in show, that I just loathe because I don't…
If you have Sirius and get E Street Radio, there is a covers only show on Tuesday nights at 6, East Coast, with a few replays throughout the week. It's a mix of other people covering Bruce or Bruce's covers of others. It's the only thing on the radio where I consciously try to be in my car during that time. Not all…
Racing has probably my favorite coda of any Bruce song.
Whenever I travel, I like to imagine what experience could be defined as "Peak Place". For example, I was in Dublin recently, sitting at a pub, drinking a Guinness when after a rain shower, there was a rainbow over the Liffey. I went to my travel companion "Yeesh, if only U2 were on the radio, I was eating a potato,…
Nah. You did a fine job.
One of the older theories in Brucedom is that Bobby Jean is actually about Steven Van Zandt leaving the band. There is a flexibility to his songs that allows for this interpretation.
Just did a little research. The theater I saw it at was one of only 7 in North America to have the new 3D Laser IMAX systems. So my basis for comparison is biased.
I think it depends on the theater. My local IMAX just upgraded it's projection to the 3D Laser system and sound system in the past 6 months. Last year when I saw the Hobbit, the 3D was meh. This year TFA was visually stunning in the new 3D. I saw it again in regular HD, and while it was great, the 3D IMAX was…
Marcus Goodrich would have some keen insight into that.
Poor La Bamba
Haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm reading the book now (it was totally unrelated. I'd just finished a book about Magellen's voyage, and was in a nautical non-fiction theme.) but the author does a bit on how the Nantucket accent of that period was very different from mainland New England accents. It was part of a…
I have season tickets to a professional sports team. There is a fan who walks around with thick glasses, a team flag as a cape, and a small stuffed bear tied around his neck. I was behind him in line at a Season Ticket holder event and he tried to make small talk. Only he doesn't do the talk, the bear does. It was…
Ah but the Battle of Waterloo was won on the fields of Eton. Seeing teams multiple times helps both teams understand the personnel of the other team, which is just as important as scheme.
I think the opposite might be true in this case. Having had a joint practice with the Eagles last year probably gave them a bit more familiarity that you don't normally have unless you are Buffalo/Jets/Miami. Unless you are just completely terrible like Washington.
Also, in other Lions games I've seen Megatron back there as a DB. Yet for this he was on the sidelines.
Oh no. I was not clear. Belichick doesn't think that every play should be reviewed. He pushes every season for expanded scope of what should be allowed to be reviewed, provided that the coach still has his challenges.
