Good enough for Robert Plant on his first 2 solo albums. Rumour has it he had worked with at least one pretty decent drummer and knew his shit.

He mixed drum machines with live drums, as far back as Man on a Corner from Abacab (my favorite Collins related album.). Like It Or Not (Abacab reference,) it was a distinctive and original sound, which I believe answers the question of why.

Interesting plot? More like Frankenmovie of Spielberg lifts.

I get that.

I dont' know what season it was, but when Pete passive aggressively pimped out Trudy just to try to get published and keep pace with Ken, it seemed clear it would take a real life changing experience for him to become a respectable human being.

Way too much going on in an episode like this though to handle a suicide too, it would throw the focus off some of the deepest most important issued of the season.

The fact Joan rejected Roger's money has a lot of interesting ramifications in this episode.  Her fridge may be on the fritz, but she doesn't need this money so desperately when the kids real father is willing to pay.   Joan's a big girl who can handle herself, this has always been clear.  She was seduced by the power

This, or something similar, is very plausible when you consider how likely an entitled whiner like Pete will be to belittle Joan about how she became a partner as soon as there is a management conflict. The fact he set it up won't even enter his mind. But some buck shot just might.

Something or other Britta's shirt in this photo something boner something what-have-you.

But his lovable side makes him perfect for it, they can push his unlikability to extremes without the audience disengaging from the character completely.  He's unnerving even in an otherwise piece of hack fluff like The Hangover.
