My thoughts during the invasion of Laurel's apartment:
"Oh, she's got a shotgun, and she pumped it like a badass. Maybe they're finally going to fix this character."
"Oh wait, it's Laurel, OF COURSE she'd only have one shell in the gun."

Just to point out that was the nickname for Hoffman's character in the movie.

I love that between Stan "Rizzo's" new leather jacket, the trippy club scene at Electric Circus, and the discussion of entertainment censorship standards, this episode managed to be the best of the season, as well as a tribute to Midnight Cowboy a year before it came out. Bonus film: Pete think's he's Jack Lemmon in

In every person is a struggle, between good and evil. In Paul Blackthorne, there is a second struggle: between his native English accent, and a James Cagney impression.

This episode was out of its goddamn mind:

So, every finale thus far has involved the show destroying a set that had come to embody the glacial, wheel-spinning pace of the season, promising something new and better to come.

"Hi, I'm Michael Rooker. I played Merle on The Walking Dead. You know, we had a lot of fun here tonight, what with the shotgun wedding proposal, and me shooting those guys. But one thing that's never fun: Character development.

Season 2 Episode 9 "Brother's Keeper": Cures cancer

3:10 to Drew-ma

Perhaps my favorite thing about the near-perfect seas…er series finale, was the cast off line about the two hanging out as they hurriedly said goodbye. It's such an incredibly small line, but knowing that their relationship extends beyond just Abaddon, and the whistle-blowing, shows one of the many ways Amy has grown

The cynic in me is glad the show gets to go out on top, and thinks a part of Mike White feels the same.

…So you're telling me I shouldn't expect Peggy Olson and the Disney-ized fauna of New Zealand dancing around on an ice bed singing:

May God have mercy on your spare time.

"It's dangerous to go alone! Take this."

Two notes from tonight:

This comment section is basically a Sporcle quiz asking for every line from the episode. And that's why "Deep Space Homer" is fucking perfect.

This season has done a lot of playing around with running gags (see the Lana-Lana!-LANA! fakeout), but the fire extinguisher gag was the perfect combination of genius and groaner pun.

I apparently enjoy Barry and Katya far more than most, but was really glad Krieger turned out to be the mastermind behind the whole. I've liked Archer getting into seriality and "arcs" as an experiment, but tying everything up in a bow by episode's end was a nice reminder of the cleanness to S1/S2 Archer

She graduated from the same school where Tara Reid got her archeology degree.

I love 'em both, but Charlie Day as a cop makes about as much sense as Patton Oswalt as a constable on Justified. They're both too short for the gig…although they could form a special police unit called S.Q.U.A.T. I'd watch the hell out of that.
