TEAM SHIREEN MOTHAFUCKAS!!!!!

Hey, that's not funny. Those people almost died in a Category 5 Metaphor tonight!

I caught this last night, and while I agree with IV generally in his appraisal, this is absolutely a film worth seeing, massive flaws and all. The scattered, but standout moments when it all comes together (mostly in the middle, as stated above) are phenomenal. I think it's kinda a shame that this is a film where

Paul Giamatti narrates the secret diaries of M.O.D.O.K.

Captain America 3: Civil War

And you will be missed too, SS! Good luck working the Salon beat.

I want a whole show dedicated to Kathryn Hahn, Lady Rabbi. She is the best regardless, but as Lady Rabbi, she's achieved next levels of greatness.

Wall of text ahead on what was a really terrific finale, and season:

"All of this would be more fatal if Let’s Be Cops didn’t operate almost exclusively as a showcase for the inspired rapport of its stars."
Dowd, i'm not sure which version of the movie you saw, but mine was just Wayans and Johnson slapping each other around between yelling and calling one another bitch. That's funny

Great analysis! And great to hear two of the site's best unofficial staff are doing a collab-o. It could wind up being the Filmspotting SVU to The Dissolve's Filmspotting.

God bless you, tech-adverse, toolbar-riddled penta through octogenarians of the world, for keeping such a relic of a search database alive this long. Truly, the greatest generation.

Cool cool.

Oh man, that sounds perfect is that's where the finale is heading. I love the show's reverence for theatre and theatricality, it gives it such a unique flavour compared to pretty much anything else on TV.

T.V. Club: "Todd VanDerWerff"

Normally I prefer to avoid these sorts of comments, especially when someone is as good at their chosen profession as Abigail Spencer.
.
That being said: she is a very pretty lady and that's really all I can formulate as a statement right now.

Did the exact same thing not 10 minutes ago. I love anytime the show whips out some old-timey lingo likes it's dropping a bunker buster. Definitely responsible for a great deal of its charm.

Thanks for posting, i've been obsessed with TNDBO since listening to last week's show and now I get to relive it in all its glory

Tusk?

"She belongs to the cause. And the world. We all do."

Actually I've really loved this classic feature on the site specifically because it gets me wanting to rewatch old episodes. I mean, I've seen them all at least a half-dozen times in syndication, but save for Homer vs. the 18th Amendment (which is a St. Patrick's day tradition), I rarely go out of my way to watch them
