I saw them at Lollapalooza and Staley was unable to sing.
After taking the stage after a long delay, he would sing a few lines, simper, trail off, and then just stand there, lost, the band giving him a death stare, and they would play out the song.
After around five songs, Staley just staggered off the stage, literally

This Lobot gag is killing me because my cousin was not allowed to see Star Wars due to my Aunt's religious nuttery.
Anyway, I recall him sneaking some figures out from under his bed that his neighbor had given him.
Han? Luke? Lando? A Stormtrooper? Greedo? Nope.
The two figures were Lobot and Bib Fortuna.
Poor kid, he

I'm confused with something.
So Malvo was driving one of Lester's cars before he even met, by chance, Lester at the hospital?
Huh?

Or people telling a ten minute anecdote about getting drunk or high only being funny to fellow wasteheads.

Forget even about POV of the scene and consider the character's arc.
In the books, this all occurs when Jamie briefly takes a turn for the slightly more noble. Bookverse Jamie almost goes Columbo trying to figure out who killed Joffery and flirts with being a good kings guard. It was actually a neat character avenue

For me, it is the last decent Cronenberg film.
When the man doesn't fuss over his surreal obsessions, his stuff is just coldly mannered and taciturn.
I want Cronenberg doing body horror and not the kind that involves seeing Viggo's saggy balls.

While I'm sure it would have been interesting, one thing is for sure, Jodorowsky being unable to make DUNE in the mid 70's spared us more of his new age, mystic, hippie bullshit.

I really liked DUNE when I saw it as a kid. And, as an adult, I gotta' say, though it's lacking a certain spark, there are far less irksome things about it than the original Star Wars film (better acting, grander plot, better production/direction).

I got sick of it and tuned out for almost all of last season (gave up on the comics around the hundreth issue). Once I heard it was abandoning the Gov and prison storylines I gave it a second shot and I think it's been decent.

Yeah, I see your point. I just swung the other way with it. Obviously on tv the kid actors are the ones with the shortest amount of time to be showcased in a big ensemble, so I was just thinking, make her shell-shocked from the get-go. Woulda' shoulda' coulda'

I've been wanting the show to delve into the psychological effect on kids more. Carl was the obvious vessel, but they didn't really do much with him (never do). I think Lizzie should have been shown as consistently bonkers, no hints, no normalcy, all crazy-eyes all the time, and it would have felt less stunt'ish. But,

There is an old interview with Hamm where he says that working with Gilliam, and in general on the script tone, was a chore.
Gilliam wanted the opening scene to introduce all the characters fighting at the Statue of Liberty, if I remember correctly, destroying it in the process.
Hamm also said that Gilliam insisted on

I went to the lame Lollapalooza that Fishbone was part of and I would like to sue for the entire experience.

Leonard's ego and his constant harping on letting Duran "come clean" was funny, just made him look petty. Heavy handed analogies about how he came clean as an alcoholic and now he was giving Duran the same chance to not be in denial. FUCK YOU.

Ugh. The VICE headline bills it as a "Surreal Interactive Neo Noir." Sorry. It is none of those things.

His writing with his magikal dick was interesting for a brief moment, but he's coming across like a horny, old goat.
