I don't think you'll hate it, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to you either unless you like fairy tales nested inside of whodunits that involve gigantic nuns.

Yar, Wizard and Glass is one of my favorites. Although I've been re-reading these and it's remarkable how much of the books are dedicated to flashbacks and barely advance the main plot. Blaine the mono's story is told over the course of three of the books! Same with Susannah's pregnancy.

Possible spoiler:

Read Stephen King's "The Wind Through The Keyhole" (thanks, public library!). It's a fairytale
wrapped in a flashback caught in a framing story all of which is part of a larger narrative that I'm pretty sure is itself just a gigantic treatise on storytelling. If you're hoping to find out who packed the gunslingers'

You went from "threat" to "thread" there. Not sure if Patty ever had as much as a shred or thread or shredded thread of heterosexuality, so "threat," being notional, is appropriate.
