The guy gives a performance to match John Goodman's in The Big Lebowski. Of COURSE he's funny.

Whoops! The real point is that Samantha Mathis was such a boring Big Amy.

Mathis played the older version of Amy. I think Trini Alvarez played Meg.

Well, I guess resurrection is what happens when you're busy making dental plans.

Was watching LOST last night and I think Michael Emerson would make a fantastic Sedaris—it'd have to be one of his more recent essays, because of the whole age thing, but I think he could nail it.

I was trying to figure out why you were calling him DeAngelo Poochie and I thought, "Oh, right, because his last name is Barksdale." And then I realized that was a different show. Wallace is more easily found on The Office…

Difference of opinion. So his lifestyle's changed because he's had success. And it doesn't seem as if he and Hugh live in extreme luxury in either place. They like to travel and live different places and have the means to do it. I think he's still pretty hilarious about it.

I think he's mostly self-aware and playing it for laughs.

Indeed! Smash faking his mom out and then grinning as he tells her the truth, that he really did get in to college. So great.

You never saw the title of the song before?

I know! By contrast, Alexis Bledel had a character that could have been much more interesting, but her limitations as an actress fucked that up. Between Rory, Lindsay, and Alex Mack, I wonder who will see next. Ren Stevens? Topanga? Sean O'Neal?

I don't know if that's quite the case. Are we to believe that Lorelai went from being a maid getting her GED to running the whole inn if she weren't working her butt off and generally dependable? And the fact that Stars Hollow loves Rory is mentioned off, but it never seems like they stood in as parental figures

The Elected's first album (slyly titled "Me First") came out in 2004 before More Adventurous. I think the end of the band was more due to their past relationship still being a source of tension and Jenny being posited more as the sexy frontwoman than she had been on the records before More Adventurous.

I think both of them had defense mechanisms that were intentionally grating to the other one, and they also had all the old hurts and insecurities that keep them from honestly communicating 99% of the time. While I think Emily and Richard make a lot of mistakes over the course of the series, it's shown that they

Yeah, I think a big part of what made the later seasons not as good on the whole was the increased prominence of Kirk and Taylor. Kirk is great in small doses—like his ridiculous short film—but when large parts of episodes are devoted to the same kinds of wacky hijinks again and again and again…it's not funny any

Weirdly enough, his son from Jungle 2 Jungle and two of the sons from Home Improvement were on the show. But no Tim. Huuunnnnh??

@Morgendorffer I think so! Very House of Leaves.

I actually owned a book called "Bradymania: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about the Brady Brunch…And Some Things You Didn't." It had a floorplan of the house, including the never-seen first floor bathroom! Quite the resource.

I didn't know they had two bedrooms upstairs at the Gilmore house. I just thought they expanded Lorelai's bedroom. I guess I'm misremembering. And I think the bathroom on the first floor was shown as a closet a couple of times.
