I wouldn't say they always fight. There was that scene of them doing the pillow talk before Marnie came in to complain about her job interview. I think in the past few episodes, it's become more of an issue that he's older, but I think they are pretty enamored of each other.

And I think she had the same accent there too.

Hahahaha, my primary source was actually Seinfeld's "The Marine Biologist." She was the victim of Jerry telling Elaine that War and Peace's original title was "War—What Is It Good For?"

Yes!!! I tried to think of some more, but I guess she'd usually just use her maiden name when she was scheming. Man, I just got to work, but now I want to go home and watch that crazy redhead.

I honestly think she's just fucking with people at this point, putting it in every single episode. And I think it's a character aspect too. Like she was saying tonight—and I think the rant wasn't forced if you think about it as a conscious effort. I don't think she was being candid so much as wanting to APPEAR candid

We should totally just stab Caesar!

I started Paula McLain's The Paris Wife but put it down yesterday when I was a little less than halfway through. The narrator was far too wishy-washy and blah, and while I love Hemingway, I'm not enough of a fangirl to slog through such a boring perspective just because it's connected to him.

Behind the Beautiful Forevers was incredible. I don't read a lot of non-fiction, so her approach was helpful to me. But I can see how it might give off the air of being sensationalistic instead of hard reporting.

Adverbs is so terrific! I need to reread it. Have you read Handler's "Basic Eight." It's marketed as YA, but like all his work, I feel like it's accessible to older crowds too.

And determining who owns a boat before it's too late.

At least you don't know everything about rock music and hit singles and hoodies from him…

That's what I came looking for!

I really enjoyed your post. It gave me much deeper insight to the world. I think my issue with Max is not his behavior so much as how he works within the world of the show. In that sense, I love the Kristina's cancer storyline for the work it's given Peter Krause and Monica Potter outside of "What are we gonna do

I really can't stand Max. I know his struggles fueled the start of the show, and the kid's acting the part quite well, but the plotlines with him are almost all the same—the puberty one last week was a nice exception. It's a relief when they stick him with different characters to change up the pace. I think Haddie

Ahhh, man, I love this song! Saw him do it in New Orleans last January and I've been obsessed ever since. It's so deeply felt and sweet and few besides Mr. Darnielle could get away with it.

Rachel seemed to be much more of a relationship person than Monica or Phoebe. And I guess with all the will-they-or-won't-they with Ross, they wanted her character to have more of an emotional arc. Monica and Chandler, on the other hand, got to do whatever ("schtupping," in the parlance of our times), because their

Would the ambassador and the guy at the library be .5s?

And isn't Telly Savalas Jennifer Aniston's godfather? Full circle!

There's something Mario isn't telling you…
