This just sounds like a failed mashup.

He is the Ten Storieeeehhhhs Ahhh!

Locally, I've seen a few bands who had their heyday in the 90s reform. There could be some nostalgia involved, but, in at least one verified case, the down economy left enough of the band members unemployed to inspire a regrouping. I suspect this may be the same case with national bands.

Not to mention manufacturing more of "Rock's Most Shocking Moments" for another VH-1 pop culture list show.

Why all the hate for Treme?
The there is a tonal difference between this show and the Wire but I think it has more to do with the characters driving the narrative rather than the narrative driving the characters. Bmore was much more of a character in the Wire than NOLA is to Treme but I think the concept was more to

I worked with a guy named Mark David Chapman who was born in 1982. Yes, his parents did that on purpose and no, it wasn't a family name passed down from generation to generation.

Lou Dobbs is on the case…oh wait he only hates people traveling north into the US.

Personal mondegreen for that song:

@DC

That show ruled! The only reason it belonged on the channel was the ironic branding as "Comedy Central Sports". A dig at Dan Cortez and MTV Sports?

I set my DVR to the early 90s got an excellent bouquet of tv content ranging from UHF to Family Matters to Pearl Jam's Evenflow.

Zappa - Why Does It Hurt When I Pee?
The Shaggs - We Have a Savior
Fugazi - Returning the Screw

@spicoli & @miller Agree WMBR is essential listening in Bwaaaahstun. Have been out of their footprint for years although on a good night you can get the signal up the 93 corridor into NH. Nice to know Pipeline is still going strong.

It seems like every era has their prime. The 90's sound was really late 80's through about 1995 - I remember outright abandoning rock and pop into the aughties for jazz and experimental music; hip-hop remained relevant for a while after that. Prime 80s seemed to be early to the mid part of the decade. To me recent

I really miss cheap 7"! I lost the majority of what I had as a kid. And rebuilding the collection is getting fucking expensive. I remember getting into Man…or Astro-man? based on the artwork and the gratuitous use of punctuation in the band name and $2 or $3 isn't much of a risk.

@Fidel = Prisonn I'm with you on supporting local music. Shows are much more fun at smaller venues especially the odd shows at non bar venues.
