I got the impression Dischord was always specifically about DC rock/punk. Sometimes there's a flurry of new stuff from the label and then there's dry spells where they rely on interest their back catalog to stay in business.

Oh god the singing - especially for a band that considers barbershop quartet in it's wheelhouse. The other spot is the indulgent guitar solos. Anastasio is can be an interesting soloist but no one ever reigns him in to one or two choruses. That said he can use his guitar to write some damn good melodies.
