I agree with everything you say (had pretty much the exact same quibbles downthread).  Bond not shooting him on the ladder is damn near unconscionable.  I think the good parts outweigh the bad though (the fight with the sniper done in silhouette was cool, the motorcycle chase, the scorpion shot, other things I'm sure…
