Sorry, but you will coincide with what? Also, is this showdown to involve the weather or the ozone layer or something? My apologies, but your comment has me thoroughly confused.

That's an interesting appraisal of W. I liked that Oliver Stone made it about Bush trying to surpass H.W.'s low expectations, and there's part of me that thinks that a more typical Stone treatment of his presidency would have made him seem more of a master plotter of deception than he really was. The depiction in W.

Like other AVCers, I've been rewatching Breaking Bad to ready myself for the new season. This weekend, I watched the last episode of Season 3 and the first three of Season 4. This morning I watched Gale's karaoke video on the special features and have since had the song stuck in my head. I can't wait for Season 5.

It seemed fairly obvious to me that movies are conceived and green-lit by some kind of electronic version of mad libs, an autonomous computer program that mixes and matches genres and actors with remakes, sequels, and video/board game adaptations.

Hold up: studio execs are people?

I don't get every strip, particularly those dealing with Canadian history, but Kate Beaton is awesome, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Tasha interviewed her. Good stuff.

Wow, if I never hear this Molly Ephraim's voice again, I'll be just fine.

I'm excited by the prospect of APD Homicide detectives becoming players in the show, but I won't be surprised at all if they don't. Without Hank being in action to take the initiative on any Blue Meth investigations, I won't be surprised if Gale's lab notebook gets tossed on the back burner by a few episodes in.

Another vote for The First 48 here. I don't watch it as much lately, but I loved the first few seasons, especially the episodes in Memphis and Miami. I kept expecting it would be canceled, and I'm glad to see it not only survived, but is apparently one of A&E's more popular shows, going by how often it's on now. I

HHF, don't forget "subversive" and "canny."

I got around to watching In the Name of the Father this weekend, which I thought was really good, but not much else.

I always loved Stephen Lang as Ike Clanton in Tombstone.

For my money, Sam Elliott's mustache in Tombstone is the most badass ever.

Correction: Reading ruins everything.

I don't know what "Perfect Couples" is, but not knowing anything about the topic at hand has never stopped me before. Why do you tell us where you saw the article if you're clearly embarrassed to have been perusing such "news"? Also, changing your homepage is relatively easy. For a mere $19.99, I could even do it for

Gee whiz, if I stay on AVC all day, I might just be able to complete my education at home! Thanks, Mr. Blanston!

I have never heard this term before. I guess you really do learn something new everyday? And since I already knocked that out this early, I guess I can ditch school today. Thanks, Noel!
