I find II to be underrated, though that may be because I played the GBA version first. That at least got rid of losing stats for having other stats go up.

My main complaint with III is the lack of save points. The last dungeon was ridiculous in how much time it would take to get back to the final boss after losing.

Favorite minigame? Voltorb Flip! (From Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver). I may be having the minigame equivalent of Stockholm Syndrome though. Must… get… ice beam TM before the third gym leader.

2 is really weird because it's different than all the other NES/SNES games with its… unique level up system (I played the GBA version, so I never felt the need to beat up my own party). But it also introduced most of the series recurring elements. Like chocobos! (Because oversized chickens make the best mounts)

Hello fellow Duck Hunt player! Do you have any tips for playing as him? I never feel like I'm using his specials as effectively as I could be.

I've read an argument of VI is where the series jumped the shark. I think that person was arguing that IV was the best. (I like IV, but out of all the ones I've played it's the one I have the least inclination to go back to). I think the person saw Terra as the first in a long line of "moody protagonists". I can't

So this weekend I'll be playing…. not much. I'll be spending most my weekend at a conference for a community service organization. And then it's the week of spring break where I'll be in lab for a few hours throughout each day, and not even sure what I'll do the other hours of the day.

Hasn't it always been just a label? Considering the differences between universes gameplay and tone with each iteration?

Now my desire to see a sitcom starring the four arch fiends dwarfs my willingness to seek out FFIV The After Years. Rubicante would make an excellent comedic straight man

While I haven't read the Silmarillion so I don't know whether it's similar, there is a recent book, A World of Ice and Fire that covers a lot of Westeros history. (The framing device has it be a history of the Seven Kingdoms written by a maester of the Citadel). It has some really neat artwork in it as well.

I'm a biochemistry major, so I'm pretty appreciative of the fact my brother gifted me this. I may have missed that SCOTUS ruling (I remember hearing about how the Supreme Court would rule on it, but couldn't remember the results), but it's good to hear that.

I half remember a Futurama B plot being something along those lines

Now I'm suddenly wondering if the frustration of Zelda 2 (or the second quest in the first game) would be lessened if I was getting blown in the middle of playing. Experiencing le petit mort, allowing me to be chill about Link frequently experiencing regular mort.

Well I was reading The Lord of the Rings trilogy. (Or well six books. But I have it in one giant book on an e reader anyway). And then my birthday came along and derailed that goal. I'm now currently reading The Emperor's Soul by Brandon Sanderson, and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. I'm not

I never got too worked up over the quality of a video game story, especially if they seem silly. I mean V is my favorite final fantasy. But I'm pretty sure the villain's backstory in that one is: There once was a tree. People kept shoving evil spirits into the tree until the tree was so evil it gained sentience. The

Oh neat, it's merely really divisive. So there's still a good chance that I'll enjoy it because I'm not expecting a rehash of V VI or VII.

But I don't think the game lets you choose a loadout? So it's unlikely that you actually get 25 black mages in any case. I would rather just run 5 black mages in random encounters in Tactics to fulfill my requirement for pointy hats.

This looked like it had some really interesting parts, but it wasn't on my "must buy" list because I was unsure how gameplay actually worked. This review makes it seem frustrating, and the lack of interesting character interaction also really dampers my interest. Maybe I'll get this when I can find it cheap.

But the last person who told me that phrenology wasn't real had the brain pan of a stage coach tilter!

Yeah, I think he was one of the better villains in that game. Serves as a nice cynical foil to Ramza. And he always seems to be coming up with excuses for his motives. Though I think his actual motive is simply following the money. I think one of the reasons I see people complain about the shift to demons as
