One of my favorite battles was the last one with that mercenary knight that Ramza turned against. (I can't spell either version of his name without reference, though I played the War of the Lions version). I had Ramza lead him towards the gate, and my generic white mage dropped a Holy on him to finish him off. I was

And now I'm suddenly reminded that I'm looking forward to more Stormlight Archive, more than more A Song of Ice and Fire. Huh.

Tactics is awesome. My main complaint would be that mages seem to have a lot of penalties to them that kills their usefulness. (Which I guess is at least different than most RPGs). Damn it generic time mage, in the time it took you to cast one Hasteja that didn't even work, Cid and Agrias have already killed half the

Bravely Default took everything I loved about FFV's gameplay (FFV being my favorite final fantasy) and made it better. And then I reached the halfway point. I wasn't happy with the plot twist that begins Chapter 5. Chapter 6 at least had the Conjurer sidequest. But it also established the main characters as all being

So VIII is worth at least trying then right? I see a ton of hate for it. But I have, I just haven't gotten around to finishing VII yet, and I was planning to start VIII immediately afterward.

Final Fantasy ATB wasn't really a game. More of a vehicle for microtransactions. Shame, considering that some of the descriptions for monsters, weapons, and classes were pretty funny.

Of course. Peanut butter and chocolate pie. It was pretty amazing.

Is there a mistake with the grade? This doesn't really read like an A- review. (Unless Mrs. Murray's remark about feeding the animals makes up for all the contrivances in the plot). I was glad that somebody decided to call Patrick a narcissist, but it was less satisfying seeing that it came from someone who's clearly

I missed popularity by a little over an hour. I knew that my birth time was the problem!

(Homer Simpson voice): "Nerrrrrrrrrd!" Which is to say, I am a massive nerd, and appreciate pie on my birthday.

Didn't watch it with them, watched it today actually. Though that reminds me that someone has recently been watching Orange is the New Black on their Netflix account. I haven't asked them about it.

My birthday was Saturday! As my parents visited me that day, it did significantly reduce the pop culture that I consumed. But I did get the chance to start catching up on the second season of Looking. I like it better than the first season so far, but the Halloween Party episode was the most cringe inducing thing I

What are they wearing? Maybe some jet black armor. Like ebony armor from Skyrim. (Morrowind and Oblivion ebony has too much gold on it). I always like it when you can get some armor black as night. I'm slightly frustrated that I can't seem to find some black light armor for my Ranger/Blackguard in Neverwinter Nights.

I should try and see if I can make a good party with just Ramza + generics. I relied pretty heavily on Mustadio's and Agrias's unique abilities in Chapter 2 and 3 as well.

I cheesed it pretty badly. Set Ramza to squire, with items as his secondary. I ran away from Wiegraf while spamming Tailwind until I had five turns for his every turn. (Using X-Potions for when I did get hit) Then I spammed focus until I could do pretty severe damage. Then I ran up to him and killed him before he

I think? I think the fight against them in chapter 4 is after you get Cid. Difficulty ceased to be an issue with Cid. I should probably do a playthrough without him, just to see how hard the endgame actually is.

I need to play some of the Mana games. I've only been getting DLC from games I've played before. I think otherwise I would probably go broke trying to buy them all. So far I have "The Serpent That Devours the Horizon", (Bravely Default) "World Revolution" (Chrono Trigger) "Wind Scene" (Chrono Trigger. Also best map

I think there's a new game+ that let's you start the story with your unlocked jobs. Of course you have to beat the game and get the true ending. Which is annoyingly repetitive. (I did like the final two boss themes enough to justify the several hours of play beforehand but that's just me being weird I think).

It's a gamecube game. I'm still crossing my fingers for Gamecube virtual console on the Wii U, but it's probably a vain hope.

That FF Tactics situation is one of the reasons I'm glad that I stumbled onto spoilers for that game. Especially regarding the ridiculousness of both the Wiegraf duel, and the final battle of chapter 3 which is still part of that sequence. (Which I still consider one of the worst cases of NPC ally stupidity in a game
