I totally agree, especially having just rewatched the series in winter (alright, a Vancouver winter, but still). I'm pretty sure most of these scenes were shot on a sound-stage as well, which lends even more credit to the amazing crop of actors found for this series.
I'm pretty excited for this show moving forward, but was kind of put off by what seems like a lazy affirmation of the conflict thesis in the Bruno bits. Having just watched the episode, I found myself hearing Rust's voice narrating the opening paragraph of this review as I read it. Pretty much lost it at "boy howdy," but still. There's something about his inebriated philosophizing that really sticks with you.
