It's just an oddly specific character choice. If you an Angelino and have a lot of Armenian friends, it's just kind of funny that the writers picked that as opposed to some other generic white-guy name.

Oh yeah! I should also point out that the Soup often features novelas along with the rest of the detritus of American TV for McHale to make fun of, so that could be a possible point of reference for folks who have no other experience with Spanish-language television.

I'm not Latin myself (well, Italian, which guess makes me the original Latino), and I dont even speak Spanish, but I understand a lot of Spanish and watch these shows with my girlfriend's Mexican family.

I disagree. While I think the main audience for most novelas are generally from an older generation (I'm not basing this on anything in particular other than personal experience, so I could be totally wrong), the younger generation also watches a lot of this stuff and just kind laughs along with the cheesy musical

Now THAT would be hi-larious character development

@leo Yes, but Seinfeld was still funny. By season eleven, the Simpsons had ran out of laughs, and never regained any of them again. In season nine, I'd argue that there were still some pretty funny episodes, but the connection we had with the characters was being severed. Principal and the Pauper is a great example of

Even more recently was Conan's Conando bits on the Tonight Show.

Not surprisingly, most of the ads I've seen for this have been on Spanish channels and bilboards in the predominately Mexican and Central American parts of LA, so basically most of LA.

I love how he seems to be talking directly to Burbank, Ca.

That's pretty damn terrible.

Have you seen many novelas? Most of the actors and actresses on those shows are whiter than Ferrell

I dont think it's been that well established that he knew where the farm is. Just cause he knew Maggie in high school, if that's even true, doesnt mean he knew where her house was. And they seemed to have always kept him blindfolded whenever he was fierried about (the only smart thing they've done with him so far).

That cause I dont think Rick was necessarily on board 100% with executing Randal anyway. He seemed to be looking for an out, first by letting the deomcratic process play out, and then when every one still wanted to kill him, for whatever reason I dont know, he let Carl be his excuse to not kill him.

Also, I liked Daryl's answer to the suggestion that they just, you know, keep the kid around, have him join the group: "Just another mouth to feed"
Oh REALLY? Like a whole group of assholes who just stumble upon a farm and start camping out there because they have the guns? Like those extra mouths to feed? Of course,

THANK YOU Sheep! It does not add up that the groud should feel THIS threatened by Randal. He's like, what, fourteen? Sure, old enough to be a child soldier in Uganda or where-ever, but its a far stretch to say that he would a) want to escape, b) not get eaten if he were to escape, and c) even find his group, if they

Didnt watch Talking Dead this time, but I figured tha it had something to do with finger bones filed down to sharp points, I guess sharp enough to rip open a stomach. Not the most believable thing in the world, but at least its an explanation. And, oh yeah, we're talking about fuckin' zombies! Lets cut them some slack.

I actualy kind of get Carl's apparent evolution over the last few episodes since zed-Sophia got her brains blown out. He's a fucked-up little adolescent. It makes total sense that he would be a morbid weirdo. Of course he's going to wonder off to the woods after being a little shit and catching shit for it from Dad

It's easy

My favorite part: "Carl shoots him, the whole thing is pretty fucked up but I won't give too much away ." Gee, thanks!

I still think both directors are overrated.
