Brooklyn Nine-Nine reminds me a lot of The Unusuals, they even had a similar thing with Harold Perrineau being afraid of death and Terry Crews being afraid to work in the field.

I think his reaction was supposed to have something to do with his

Eagleheart has done a very similar thing this season. Instead of being US Marshals, the characters are on the run trying to prove Chris' innocence and find out what happened to Brett.

The elder of the gay couple "gets New Orleans". It was the younger one who called the police about loud music and the older one was appalled when he found out. He also knew as much as Davis about the history of Jazz musicians who have lived in the Treme.

I completely agree. I don't listen to Jazz and have never been to New Orleans but the passion and enthusiasm these characters have for music/food/politics/culture and hearing them say their piece and living their life as if they are real people, it just gets to me like no other show.
