The orders to kill Robert's bastards came from a dead King about a year ago - it was Joffrey in the show, Cersei in the books. I doubt show-Gendry will go back to the Brotherhood without Banners after they basically sold him to Melisandre to be sacrificed. Before he sailed away Davos said he'd be safe in King's Landing as the Gold Cloaks don't know what he looks like.

After Arya parted ways with the Brotherhood, Gendry stayed with them and doesn't turn up again until Brienne finds that inn that's ran by children (but protected by the Brotherhood) and he's doing metal work out back.

There's another pregnancy that can help track time. Lollys Stokeworth is raped in the riot at Kings Landing about half way through the second book and Cersei gets news of the birth and name of the child about half way through book four.

That makes sense, if evil Morty had a Rick brain it would explain why he needed all the tortured Mortys to keep his brain pattern hidden from the other Ricks.
