I remember Fallon gave a pretty somber tribute after Conan's last Tonight Show. I'm sure the two at least respect one another, even if they don't remain in any kind of contact, so Conan would probably be pretty pissed if one of his writers were attacking Fallon.
It also inspired much of Mad Men, so it's a net-gain, really.
There are much worse episodes. "Principal" was at least made in earnest, even if it's extremely outlandish and absurd to the nth degree.
I'd say continue through Season 10. Even though the quality is much more spotty, there are still some gems. And I think questionable episodes, like "The Principal and the Pauper," deserve commentary as well.
When I first watched the episode, I understood why "Lisa" was a different person, but I didn't get the joke behind why she was an entirely different type of person.
