Salmon Ladder shout out!

Shallow Male Alert: Nicole Beharie doing Yoga. Yes please.

Nygma has gotten worse, let that sink in for a minute.

So this was pretty good. Not great, mind you, but a decent enough first episode.

It's not "a show primarily for teenage girls", you big goof.

God, the second half of The Secret Circle was so good, definitely deserved a second season.

Yeah, I hope they don't just ignore Dichen Lachman's character, she would've been taken with everyone else to Mount Weather. I assume we'll get a Clarke/Anya escape team-up.

One other thing I wanted to point out in this really strong opening episode: There is a great bit right after Clarke steals the keycard during dinner. When Mya(I believe is her name) realizes she took it, it cuts to Clarke walking towards the camera down a hallway. Right when the alarm goes off the camera changes its

The surprise hit of last year is back! Seriously, the first season of The 100 is maybe the biggest "Wow, this is actually a pretty great show." I've come across in a long time.

"Are we favor-friends now? Are we friends?"

I was about to flip out that no one mentioned the Rita Farr bit.

This episode is exactly what I feared this show would be when it was first announced.

You realize you just said that "motorcycle bow jousting" was a bad thing. Madness.

"I don't want to die down here."

Drunk Laurel is best Laurel. :(

My dreams of a live-action Metamorpho are becoming closer and closer to being realized. Don't fail me now, Flash.

There was no workout scene so they had to do to work it into the actual crimefighting. Makes perfect sense, really.

But the "Women in Refrigerator" idea is all about context, it is about the role women play in superhero comics and how a disproportionate number are used to motivated the higher profile male leads by being killed/beaten/raped/whathaveyou.

"Fridging" is a concept that has been completely ruined over the years, it is so far removed from its original context as to be useless these days.

Arrow. I had one rule, a simple rule. And you broke it and my heart.
