It might mean something. The red universe had cell phones in the 80s. Maybe this universe is slightly more advanced in TV technology? Or something like that?

I thought exactly the same thing. Like, her conception of time had somehow gotten messed up because of all the business with the time chamber. But the guy only built it because she got sick…so yes, paradox. But that may be reading too much into it.

Will the show ever go back to the blue universe? This seems like it would be really tricky to accomplish without a horrible cliche Walter-bumps-his-head-and-remembers-everything scenario. I'm interested in seeing how/if they do it.

I thought both of the shapeshifter actresses were really bad. Maybe they were just trying to seem inhuman or something? I dunno. It was definitely the one part of the episode that bugged me.

That's exactly what I thought. It was Bell who told Walter not to be afraid to push the envelope…

Pinkner said on Twitter that Broyle's superior was, in fact, the president.

Yeah. It made no sense they weren't wearing the suits. Even if the plot called for the guy to die and for Lincoln to become infected, it would have been better to see Gus rip the suits apart or something. It was certainly strong enough.

That scene with Walter lobotomizing himself freaked me out more than the marionette scene from S3. Yikes…

I really liked the episode. The whole thing was a callback to Season 1 (right down to the hair cuts and the performances) and I think that the writers consciously made it seem like a Freak-of-the-Week episode. That is, until the ending where the freaks were revealed to be new types of shapeshifters.

All this talk about Peter…
No one has mentioned future Olivia with super powers. And she wasn't wearing black! She was in a saucy power suit.

Love these guys and this was a great interview but…
If The Observers turn out to be angels or something…I'm going to punch someone.

Sam
I really love the Sam character. I hope we get to see more of him. And I was happy with the explanation that we got as to why he has so much knowledge of the First People.

Usually I hate "gabbin' with God" moments in TV shows but he just completely sold it.

You have to admit that phone is pretty nifty.

And Inception ripped off Scrooge McDuck. What's the big deal?

"Only thing I wanted more of was a bit more surreality to the images that were live action in her mind. "

More Earth-2 tech
Aside from the magic painting at the doctor's office, did you guys notice that weird laser umbrella that guy was carrying in Chinatown? Or was it just me?

Yeah - this was definitely one of the TENSEST Fringe episodes. I was surprised by how uncomfortable I felt in some of those scenes. And then that guy with the mask walks by? Freaky.

DOG KILLS CAT, SELF

I find it funny how shocked they were by that discovery. It just looked liked the guy liked to do a little taxidermy. I guess whenever you set anything in a basement, it automatically makes it creepy.
